    REP+ for the title

After the trial runs out, you'll still be able to use it just as you do now. It'll just bother you to buy it.

You can still use the right click and extract function after it expires without it even bitching, so don't worry about it.

Edit: Oh yeah, good one with the title, not many I laugh at, but that one got me.

Yeah, I'm still running the trial a whole 2 years after I got it. I'd buy the full version, but I refuse to support n00b programmers (which is why my version of windows is pirated)

Talking abour expiration...Spy Sweeper has ended its trial days and I saw a very "funny" e-mail in my inbox...

"For the last 14 days, Spy Sweeper has worked hard to keep you and your computer safe from the dangers and aggravations of spyware. As of tomorrow you are no longer protected from spyware..."

    Ohhh! Should I feel scared?

Not! Because I have Ad-Aware and Spybot

I guess a computer newbie would feel scared :

put that in your pipe and smoke it Spy Sweeper. Why must people pay for anti spyware/adware/virus protection? At $50 CDN NAV sux massively while the free AVG PWNS it royally. Then there is 7-ZIP which does the same thing as winRAR, also free. What are they using the money for? It sure isn't software improvements, I can tell you that much (if it worked that way, Microsoft would be the best software devs ever)

EDIT- Also reminded me of my sister and her NAV expiration (computers come with a trial of NAV these days). She was running around trying to find a NAV disk, meanwhile I installed AVG and made a cool $25 by just installing software. Told her that it was an AV prog I bought for $25 at a computer store. That'll show her.

yeah, like said above, you only get a small box when you try and open a rar.

right clicking the rar and clicking Extract files... Extract Here or Extract to Blahblahblah\

Also, I've been running a pirated version of windows 2000 (I don't like xp...too slow and too many bugs) for over two years, and I haven't had a problem, plus I even pass WGA tests...

They just want to get rich! And yes, the crap of a "pay-software" like Norton is crap compared to AVG, free, and better.

And I second you in that, Antivirus programs should be free..they should learn from Grisoft.

I hope you enjoyed those 25 bucks!

Sure did. Actually made a little bit of money on the side distributing CDs of AVG to n00bs who didn't know better, claiming it was a legit pay-per-use AV program. Made quite the bundle too, unfortunately I spent it all on beer, food, and drugs......that was one insane weekend.

Sellign free-software and living like a pimp...sure you're awesome Omega

    Sorry for the off-topic!

And one more thing, if you're planning to change to AVG, update it frecuently, and download the updates from the grisoft site.

Why? because if by some strange reason you computer goes to hell, you just have to copy the files and update it from there

Is there any good reason to use WinRAR as opposed to 7zip? 7zip is actually free and can extract rars...

Sometimes 7-ZIP makes errors when extracting RARs IMO. I think it's better to use WinRAR for RARs and 7-ZIP for 7-Zip files.

7-zip sometimes can't extract rars properly. I've had a few rars that gave errors when extracting with 7-zip and 7-zips that gave errors extracting rars for that matter, so I keep both around.
