Very well, I'll agree to disagree.

If you wish to be such an "extremist", suit yourself.

Always caring about others means that you'll lose yourself someday.

I'm thankful I live in Canada and celebrated Thanksgiving a few months ago , I really don't like the holiday. Besides the yummy turkey.

I'm thankful for my family obviously. Thankful I live in a country thats not poor and I'm not poor. I'm thankful I can sit around and play games without worrying about bombs being dropped overhead. I'm thankful for my fishies, frogs and snails as well as all the babies I'll have in a few months , especially the bettas I'll be getting which can go for 100-150US a fish

That's true man. I got so caught up in caring about others and making them happy, that I lost track of myself along the way. By the time I realized it, I'd been unhappy for years.

I think it's good to balance the two. If you only care about others there's a problem. If you care about yourself and others then it's all good ^^

No doubt. I learned that along the way.

When I realized that I was unhappy, I started to not give a shit about people. But despite how I may act around here, I actually do care and couldnt stop caring. Not altogether, at least. When I worked all that out, it became a bit easier to balance the two. I'm still eager to please, but not at the expense of my own...erm, pleasure.

Y'know, the way I see it is this; if you're feeling guilty about stuffing your face for Thanksgiving, you ought to consider helping out. Going on and on about those in need aint magically putting food on their tables, so get out there and volunteer in a soup kitchen if you feel bad. If you cannot enjoy the holidays because someone else cant, then do something about it.

I dont know what the point of that last little paragraph was, but um...shit.

I'm thankfull for my friends and family (except you Mark). And of course Emuparadise. Where would I be without this place? (Probably begging for SNES games on some streetcorner.)

I forgot Thanksgiving anyway when it happened. I didn't have turkey or anything!
    Oh well...

And Paladin, thanks for MUCH needed rep
And without this place, I'd also be begging for SNES games on corners of streets

It'll be a hard life, though. Ah, I miss those days.

Have a happy holiday everyone! Nothing special this year for me and the family. We are cursed, and we will be living on streets very, very soon.

I'm thankful for the support, and myself. I didn't give my ass up for anything.
