Like it or not it's the sign of an economically strong country. Therefore I say it's good and bad, as I don't particularly envy the starving children in Africa or Asia. Bad for the planet, good for the humans living in the country that have it.

All i have ever seen come out of it is fat people, snobbish people, and people who are addicted to shopping and/or are obsessed with material objects. Ever wonder why noone ever gives a shit about the poor? Consumerism. Ever wonder why noone seems to care about anyone but themselves? Consumerism.

It is a selfish way of life that will lead to nothing but prozac.

i think i have an idea of what consumarism is, but just so i may be sure...what exactly is it?
