In fact, once I came to terms with the widespread changes that were forced upon me, I realized that things as a whole are better, and that I'm on a good path now that I'm here. Had I cautioned my roomate not to pick up that girl, I might not have been given a new lease on life, so I guess I have casual sex to thank for that.

See, that's what I thought that fateful night three weeks ago, and my life ended up being totally rearranged because of that chance encounter. Thing is, I have no reason to complain about it anymore, so really, I thank God that things went down the way they did that night. I know it may sound superficial, but I got laid, and I got a chance to make something of my life. It was a win-win situation as far as I see it.

EDIT: I feel I should clarify. Usually I'm terrified of meeting girls, and bringing one home for the sole purpose of having sex with her is something that I never do. I lack the confidence, and on top of that I'm a hopeless romantic. Casual sex isn't as much of a thrill to me as the promise of true love. However, the one time I do something out of character, it completely changed my life.
