    Question Problem with emulating FFIX

I'm using the image availble from emuparadise.

I'm running a pretty low spec computer, but the graphics run well, no problemes there. I've tried running it on both ePSXe and PSXeven, but it's the same on both of them.

But when there's a battle, the bar at the bottom doesn't appear. (i.e. the one that displayes HP, AP and ATB progress, as well as the action selections).

Has anyone experienced this problem before, and if so, how can you fix it?

I'm pretty sure it's your Off-screen Drawing. For ePSXe, go into Configure, Video. Press Configure, then you'll have a pop up menu and in it, find Off-screen Drawing and set it to Standard. That should make it appear.

I managed to get it to work, I disabled frameskipping and changed the bios file to schp7502

You should keep the FPS to either 60(NTSC) or 50(PAL).

i think in Pete's Video plugins, there's also a menu of game-specific options. there should be a thing in there about the yellow battle cursor in that.
