Oh, well yeah of course weed will have some affect on your mind. It's mostly genetics, though.

Sativas (domesticated and mostly in the west) have a sort of heavy high. This high doesn't make you want to do anything, let alone kill yourself. It makes you feel slow like molasses.

Indicas (grown wild and globally) have a more light high and give you lifted feelings. A feeling like when you are around the person you love on a good day. Still not a feeling that makes you want to kill yourself, though. Unless you hate feeling happy.

Nowadays, it's hard to find an ublended strain. People blend the strains to get different effects. There are times when the blends bring out the better of one or kill the effects of both resulting in a sort of level high-still heavy, but not a depressant.

yeah thats me, it really mellows me out and helps me fall asleep. i only use it late at night after the day is complete.

don't play rpg's high or you will wake up with good items missing or in some strange town that you don't know why you saved it there. i was playing advance wars dual strike and making all kinds of mistakes.

one thing i noticed for me is that the music and the visuals become more exciting in games if i have been toking.

Well there's some truth in what you say. Weed won't give you a mental disease but it can make things like schizophrenia much worse, or if the person isn't experiencing symptoms yet can cause them to appear. Of course any drug can do this to a schizo. Just a fun fact from Abnormal Psychology

    Sativa remains the same.
Indica changes to just being domesticated eastern.
    Ruderalis is the wild strain.

I wonder how I forgot about ruderalis

'El Capitano', has your country fallen into total chaos & anarchy, debauchery, free sex, AIDS, strife & general malaise? These are some of the arguments against legalized drug use that the people use. Of course, I don't think has happened. Has it?

Well of course. The fact that they aren't wasting tax money prosecuting marijuana users is something that we should take note of. Aside from that, people over there are pretty fucking cool with each other so violent crimes have pretty much gone out of the window as well.

There's another fairly obvious reason why crime rates drop when you legalize something.

Yes, I know that it doesn't account for the entire difference, but I don't think legalizing marijuana is what led to the Netherlands having a lower crime rate, especially when other European nations have comparable rates (as far as I know) without this particular legislation. It's certainly better to compare to its counterparts than a nation that has been fairly...divergent, shall we say, from Europe in societal change.

Besides, I'd sooner link America's relatively high crime rates primarily to its appalling literacy rates for a First World nation, but that's my own biases being given free reign.
Oh no. I wasn't basing it only on Marijuana crimes. I'm saying that the crimes in the Netherlands are overall lower than any point in the US. And literacy is higher as well. And you know the sad part? We have some of the strictest laws on these matters.

Heh, I see you caught the last paragraph I edited in before I removed it again. That's what came of me not remembering correctly American literacy rates. The difference between American and Dutch literacy was only 2%, with the same basic definition (97% and 99% respectively, definition being over 15 and capable of reading and writing). It was infant mortality I was remembering, where America rivals such illustrious nations as Lithuania, Croatia, and Cuba.

At any rate, I still think it better to compare Dutch crime rates before and after with, especially, other Benelux nations, which share a common history and possess more commonalities in societal structure, than to America. America is a bit odd in many respects, and I'm not entirely sure there's enough basis for comparison regarding how marijuana legalization would affect crime rates in America except in the most broad of perspectives (disproving the "world will end" mentality, for instance). Too many confounding variables, simply.
