Game Purchases Thread

I try to buy as many games I can but with limited income of course it's hard to get all the great games that come out. Some PC games are very hard to find also which I personally don't see a problem trading but I can understand how some people might...Patching PC games is pretty much the same as patching PSX games to get past protection however.

I'd rather rent new games then download them as far as PS2 goes. If I know I won't buy it at least this way I'm somewhat supporting the developers . If I intend to buy a game but can't buy it right away I consider downloading it depending on how long I gotta wait, or just renting it.

I do like having actual boxes and books for a lot of games, purely for collection value. If you really think about it though even buying new used games when you could buy the original hurts the developer. There's some I make sure to grab a sealed copy of just because I want the company to do well. Nippon Ichi is the best example I can think of, there are others of course.

To get back on topic last games I purchased were Lunar Dragon Song and before that Skies of Arcadia, Fatal Frame 1(ps2) and the last Resident Evil game for my collection, Resident Evil 2 for the game.com handheld system.

I'm uploading an allowed ps2 game, so technicly the "Devolpers are losing out on money" isnt a great example.
I hate PC warez now. After the bad experiance I got from my HL2 SE download. Amatuers...
But yeah, what Himiko said... or something.

Dont get me wrong i do buy games..if i feel they are worth my money but if its a game i had before id just rather download it then buy a new copy of it ya know?

God some people just piss me off. Sure, I download games, but the amount of new stuff i download vs buying is low, with me buying a shit load more of newer stuff. Its one thing for DC and all that, but man, buy a game. Who cares if its single player? Its one thing to download something rare, its another thing to pirate a freaking game that just came out, especially one thats as good as fable! Its not like the game is bad where youd be wasting your money.

Half-Life 1: Anthology which includes Half-Life/Opposing Force/Blue Shit and Team Fortress Classic. I originally wanted the Premier Pack from Valve (with DoD, Richochet and DMC), but they removed it when the new Steam came and put it in the CS-pack. Oh well, I'll get that sometime later anyway.

I bought Romancing SaGa today it looks really kick ass. (well actually I have to pick it up later but I broke down and decided to get it instead of Castlevania lol)

I love the SaGa games, have all of them released in the US now hehe, including the FF legends GB games that were SaGa in Japan.

Just because we don't pay attention to it doesn't make any less valid. And they only lose out if you don't buy the game as a direct result of the download.

That's my motto for downloading new stuff hehe, if I won't but it whats the harm .



Got my copy of RS now, putting it on my PS2 HDD so I don't have to put the original away everytime lol.
