ok did you read the bottom of that article??I didn't promise it would solve the problem but there is a reference at the bottom of the article to where if you don't follow all the steps correctly then your torrent will not be able to be downloaded.....hmpf....dont take professor wolf for granted....lol...

I spoke with him earlier he's not behind a router. It's strange because he's made the file right and everything, I was even connected to him for a little bit, he even uploaded a few MB but then it went back to not uploading. Even though it was connected ><.

    Torrent is :

WinXP comes with a firewall--best to either turn it off or configure it (if possible) to allow BitTorrent to connect. I don't know if you can configure it because I don't have WinXP.

Also, even if you don't have a router, you may still need to forward your ports if your modem has it's own built-in router, like my modem does.

    Go to this page:
    http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

And check it to see if your modem is listed on there.
If it is, then you need to follow the instructions given for your modem.

And just so you know I'm not making any of this up, here's the page for my modem:

Damn dude, I don't think you need to show off every spec. Well, maybe you had it copied down somewhere.

I kinda had similar problems when I was trying to seed my first torrents. There is a guide in the Bittorrent that takes you through most of the steps. Just remember that the tracker should be http://70.85.9.138:6969/announce . Also, somewhere in the process of seeding prep, you must tell your client where YOUR copy of the file you are seeding so it knows you already have 100% of the file you want to seed.

In BitLord 1.1 you must open the torrent you are going to seed. It is going to ask you where to save the files of the torrent. IMPORTANT! This is where you select the location of where those file would save to if you are leeching. But you are seeding, so "save to" the location of the file(s) that are actually being sent through the torrent. So for example, if you are seeding an ISO in a .rar (or whatever archive, if it is even in one), you "save to" the actual .rar being seeded. BitLord will do a Hash check or something like that and wait for peers to connect and download the file. And that is how it works for me.

I'm not sure how this would work if you are seeding files within a directory (folder [I've only seeded archives]), but I would assume you "save to" the directory of the files you are seeding.

Try adding more trackers in it.

Do other torrent files work? (other torrent files, from other trackers, etc.)
