It's possible. Though It can't account for the turning of the wrist.

Wouldn't it just be best to figure out a way to use the revolution controller as an input device to the computer?

Or could you use something like this that uses gyration already?

I think a well made adapter would be best, now that you mention it. Funny I didn't think of that, since I use my PS2 controller on my PC.

How are they going to connect something that does not have a cable? The Remote is Wireless.

Sure it's possible but alot harder then modifing the current gen controllers.

And that's how you stall emulation. They'll probably figure out how to build a receiver that will translate correctly, but it'll take longer, as well as being harder and more expensive than a typical adapter. Of course, it depends on how much the motion detection is actually used. If no game developers take advantage of it, it certainly won't be nearly as much of a difficulty to simulate it with, say, a keyboard or gamepad. That's pretty unlikely, though, and the most innovative and interesting games will certainly take advantage of it.

Personally I don't think the controller will be too difficult compared to the programming of everything else...not to mention the machine you'd need.

However, actually making the controller work might be fairly expensive...I'm not sure how many things you would need to buy.

    I think it's a great idea.

It's sad that console gaming is all about hardware improvement and stunning graphics now. I'm getting tired of crappy games trying to garnish itself with good graphics... not saying I like crap looking graphics, but come on... I think it's about time gamers are introduced something new.

Why not just wait a few years after the Revo is released before trying to emulate the console, if you want to play the games so badly buy the console you foo.

No one's gonna buy/make their own adpater just to be able to play the damn games, and by "no one" I mean "only a few people", so...

Only a few people will be willing to buy/make their own adpater just to be able to play the damn games.

The system is network/internet accesible, yes?

Welcome to playing table tennis witha friend a state away.

    sweet, neh?

The PRIMARY reason why Super smash brothers was an success was becuase it was EASY. no damn 14 button combos... who can remeber X, X, >, <, ^, Y, A, B, <, >, Y, X anyway?

Now you can PLACE your hits in full 3d. No memorizing.

Anyone still claiming this new controler is stupid is nuts.

I wouldn't say they're nuts. Hidebound reactionaries, if I wanted to poke fun, but it's possible Nintendo and third party game developers may make a complete botch of it. Not likely, but the pessimist in me notes that it's perfectly possible.
