Robert Jordan really needs to finish that series. I think the 11th book is coming out, but he should have postponed writing A New Spring until he was finished with the series.

They have been slowly going downhill, however... the first ones were the best.

Finally got The 9/11 Commission Report. Keke, the one thing I didn't think I would feel was fear. And that's exactly what I felt in insurmountable measures, the moment I read the first line. I think the most scary thing is the fact that it's all fiction. Straight fiction, with no scope for oohs and aahs in the text. It's just facts. And that makes me want to piss in my panties.

I most recently read the 3rd book in the Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind. It kept me up until 5am until I finished reading it. I bought Toilet: The Novel today and it looks really interesting.

I tried to get into Robert Jordan, but he get so incredibly detailed about EVERYTHING I got bored.

Now some classics: When gravity fails, A fire in the sun and The exile kiss from George A. Effinger. If you haven't read it and like mature cyberpunk, you should do it now.

It's in my opinion a cyberpunk with a good story instead of tons of futuristic gadgets descriptions

SkinnyMan, please tell me how the toilet was. I want to see if I'd like to read it.
Anyhoo, postponing 9/11 for a while. Reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini at the moment.
Ravishingly beautiful. I don't know why I haven't read it till now but couldn't be gladder that I am finally.
I love all my favourite lines from the book. My favourite thus far, however, has to be,

The shootings and explosions had lasted less than an hour, but the had frightened us badly, because none of us had ever heard gunshots in the streets. They were foreign sounds to us then. The generation of Afghan children whose ears would know nothing but the sounds of bombs and gunfire was not yet born.
