sonic adventure file corrupt?

hey, i got sonic adventure 1 from the yousendit links thread. i got all 7 parts & then went to extract them in winrar. it said that there was an unexpected end of archive for part 7. so i sent a pm to the person who posted sonic, who said to use 7zip to extract it. it did the exact same thing, i even tried redownloading the 7th part. does anybody know what the problem is, i really want to be able to play sonic.

yes i did, i have no idea what the problem could be, when i try mounting crazy taxi & dead or alive 2, chankast takes me to the options menu & i click on play but it says insert disc, so i know that those two are just bad files, at least i think they are.

For the first problem probably part 7 is corrupted.However you can try a repair in the part 7 using WinRar but its not sure that this gonna work.

As for the second are these games selfboot or not?If not you must use the utopia boot cd to boot them in chankast (exactly as a real Dreamcast)

Another reason is that you dont have a good DC bios.Do u place in the chankast dir the dc_bios.bin & dc_flash.bin files?

i used winRAR to repair the 7th file, & when i went to extract the files i didn't get 'unexpected end of archive notice' but when it gets to like 95% (somewhere around there) it says that the file is corrupt. Xena is something wrong with your sonic file?

Nothing wrong with the actural file, Ive been playing it before, and the other
person I uploaded it for fuffa seems to have it ok

I hate it when this happens.

Ughh if you have another computor or an external HDD you could try d/l the 7th part on to that instead, it used to work for me when D/l messed up.

hm i notice sometimes if you dragged too much to download on YSIget you get unexpected end of archieve, so it happen if someone new try to extract from middle .partX.rar, so it happen if not using YSIget. this maybe due to ysi too many connection and such, can't blame.

ok, i tried downloading part 7 on my dad's comp & then on my mom's. on both computers the file only got to 24%. what's up w/ this?

Ok according to hayato, have you made sure all the archive names are the same?

Example: Sonic1.part1.rar,Sonic1.part2.rar,Sonic1.part3.rar and so on?

Sometimes YSI renames files just double check that.

ok, i made sure all of the names were right, i repaired part 7 w/ winRAR & so that message 'unexpected end of archive' doesn't show up anymore, now it just says that 'DC - Sonic Adventure(self)(CCD).img file is corrupt'

Ark I no ive already said this but im running out of idea's
but now the files are all correct have you tried once more
to extract it with both winrar and 7zip ?

try it if you havent already.

yah i tried that too, this is the last thing i want to try & then you don't have to worry about it anymore, i just won't be able to play DC games on my computer. do you have aim, if you do get on & you can send me the 7th part then, if that doesn't work then don't worry about it. my aim screename is rkstrscralactica.

does xena still have those file?
xena can do a test actually,
backup original part 7 and xena download part 7 from ysi
do the extract. if it works it not part 7

roka you can actually do this
1) always uncompress with part 1
2) place part7 away from the same directory
3) to check if error before 7.
4) better backup something before edit, repair, modify
