Should Dihydrogen monoxide be banned?

Ah Dihydrogen monoxide, a substance that we all have heard about.

Did you know that drinking dihydrogen monoxide before working out raises your performance? Its often used by professional athletes, and there is no sure way to see if a person have used dihydrogen monoxide in order to raise his or her own performance.

Did you know that if you fil a bathtub with "clean" spring water, there is enought dihydrogen monoxide in it to kill a large person?

* is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain. Isn't acid rain mostly due to the gases released by fossil fuels when they are burned?
* contributes to the "greenhouse effect." Thought theat was carbon monoxide...
* may cause severe burns.
* contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape. Doesn't rain naturally erode land? Not erode... its another word I'm looking for... I know rain can naturally pull away dirt, mud, etc, with it when it rains, and streams naturally erode the soil around them.
* accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals. Hasn't water/moister in general always done that?
* may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes. Any oily or watery substance does that. Ask a mechanic.
* has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

I'm not trying to play devils advocate here or disagree with the article (I don't know where this guy got his info so I can't really make any definate decisions). Once I see some proof's from scientific organizations, government agencies (from any country), or a conservationist group, I'll agree with the idea of banning it.

(I don't trust enviromental gorups like PETA or Greenpeace. Conservation groups use science and reason to make decisions on things like this. Eniviromentalist usually see industry and its products/components as bad things because they aren't "natural" and immediantly think up some story about how evil/deadly they're chemicals are.)
