They still do sometimes.
They still do sometimes.
On the seventh dawn of the seventh day a twice-blessed man will roam the fields. Doomed to shadows with his brethren, or saviour to all who walk the ground.
I don't think it's merely about describing things so much that makes it slow, I also think it's the plot sometimes, which makes things move much slower.
My mother thinks that Robert Jordan (the creator of the Wheel of Time series that is still uncomplete) is still adding more and more new plots to the series but already in it's 11th book (almost released) that he has hardly started to tie off the plots that are already within the series and come to an eventually apocalyptic end that we have all expected since the very first book.

thats true, maybe soon he'll start killing off some of the main characters. There are way too many story threads going on at the same time. Makes it a bit confusing

he certainyl won't be able to complete the story at the expected 12th book, perhaps 15th? But surely that would take us into the next decade.

I don't think I'll be reading as much in new books for a while (Still rereading plenty of books, like Monstrous Regiment - Terry Pratchet), due to minor money concerns and required textbooks draining a third of my bank account, but it's not like I have a shortage of books.
I believe I'll be getting around to ordering some Faulkner and Lovecraft this Monday... Last things I read were the latest Harry Potter, Machiavelli's The Prince and Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, anyway.
Did you like The Prince? You should read Arthashatra by Kautilya, many scholarly idiots believe they are like eachother, and I can kind of say they are.
didn't know there were resident evil books, sounds interesting so will have to loook it up.Originally Posted by fultz
