She is trying to compress time because it takes up to much space on her hard drive... duh.

I hope you are kidding. If not, that is just retarded.

    Now I remember why I don't play RPG's...

    He's kidding. :/

You should give them a try. I would suggest Chrono Trigger as your first if you've NEVER played one.

    I've played plenty...Skies of Arcadia, Evolution 1&2, Phantasy Star Online, FF9, 10....

I can't stand the whole concept of: I hit you, and then stand there and wait for you to hit me.

Hmm. You should get a kick out of Star Ocean: Till the end of Time. IT has a good story and the battle system is actual real-time and it moves fast! The only probelm with this game is that the story itself moves slow as hell.

Pardon me if I am a cynic, but do you have any idea how many times I have been told that, only to find another turn based battle system?

    Too many.

Well, I imagine sprung needs to find a real time RPG, not an "Active time battle system"

Fable(for example) is an RPG, it's real time.
FinalFantasy 6(for example) is an RPG, it's "active time" which is different, and if you tell someone who doesn't like turn based rpgs to go play an "active time" rpg, they arn't going to like it either.
I am in no way responsible for the above post. It was my hand's fault. Bad hand.

Yup But don't get your hopes up

I believe the weird way the main character runs will get to you as much as it did to me

I'll elaborate what I would like. Let's take Evolution, as it's the one I can remember the most of.

Dungeons are fine, interesting even. While I am wandering around a dungeon, having full view of my surroundings, don't drop seven hellhound-freak-wolves in my face. Dude, I was walking there, I can tell you, they weren't there before...

I want to encounter an enemy, be able to asess the situation and draw a weapon, and attack on the fly. I dislike the whole "stadium" concept. If I am battling in a stadium, I want cheerleders Seriously, mainstream RPG's lack flow. It's start, stop, start, stop...maddening.

Miss? MISS?? Gimme a break, that same move worked last time. I didn't get to be "Mr. Big Adventure Man" by missing.

    ok, I'm done.

    I hate RPG's

You might like Fable then. It's pretty much what you descriped. Short as hell though, you can beat it in a day or two, a good rental game though.

heh, well, if you already have it, then I'd recomend giving it a little bit of a try, once you get passed the starting tutorial of the game, it's fairly fast gameplay.

I'll do that, and I'll rent that Star Ocean.
