Seems that a lot of these services are closing down there chatrooms for similar reasons. MSN closed theirs a couple of years back, looks like Yahoo have decided to follow suit.

it's not only that. people become addicted to the internet. people will be sitting in front of the computer chating and playing games for days and nights without eating or sleeping.

just joking, but also serious. the sex killers and stuff target boys and girls. when that happens. the people and government will file civil law suits on the person or company that provides the service. kind of like p2p.

I wonder what's next. Will they start shutting down message-boards? The same shit can, and likely does, happen on those as well.

Not at all. The Goverment is so busy telling us what we can and cannot watch/say/do/eat/play/touch etc, that it's a matter of time before they just close down the net in its entirety, so as to do away with anything they percieve as a threat to our well being.

But that's bullshit though, what about that one document Clinton signed in '96? or was that only having to do with "internet sharing privacy" and such?

You really think that sort of thing matters? They'll ignore any of that if it'll help them push their agendas through.

I think with the message boards, they won't shut it all down, unless it's supervised. That would still suck, btw.
