Seconded. 46% off, and the day before market release (By about 2 hours, granted, but still...).

I have finished, among others, Singer from the Sea by Sheri Tepper, The Maquisarde by Louise Marley, and The Chronoliths by Robert Charles Wilson. I debating whether to start A New History of Korea by Ki-baik Lee, or Excession by Ian M. Banks.

Im reading a book on the destruction of Pompeii, and I have to say, its bloody excellent. Ive also finally got round to reading the Da Vinci Code, and as much as I didnt want it to be (for the concern of souning like a trend-following sheep), it is a rather natty little number.

All this talk of Harry Potter is semi-amusing too. I personally dont like the bespeckled little geek-wizard, and would ultimately prefer to read up on Hairy Pornstar, probably a book about everyones favourite pervert, Ron Jeremy, or something.

I read a menu in a restaurant before realizing that I didn't have any more money left for food.

Last 'book' I read was Da Vince Code as well, which was like two months ago.

If we're talking serious reading, as in books...wow it's been awhile. Last one I can recall is Tears of the Night Sky. It's one of the Dragonlance novels and the title caught my attention, so I read it. What can I say? I'm not too picky. Aside from books, I read Cosmo everyday and I think that should count!

Sadly enough, people who actually read instruction booklets may well be rare enough to merit a post in this thread...

A bit more seriously, I can add Excession (Ian Banks), Heart of Gold (Sharon Shinn), and Field of Dishonor (David Weber) to my list, even though the last two were being reread.

Well I do apologize if my post upset you. Just trying to add a little humor to forums. Plus, I think there are a few more worthy posts for the "Potential of Ruining the Thread" award than mine...Just a thought.

I thought Dragonlance novels and Forgotten Realms novels were the shit, back when I was, umm, 11...

Try reading David Gemmell if you like sword/sorcery novels, his first book, "Legend," is great, and will set you up for a phenomal spree of great reading..

Yes, I do have the mentality of an 11-year-old. But I will definitely look into David Gemmel as well as that book you mentioned. Thanks!

First, what I have not read: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Just bought it.

Now, what I have read, mostly while waiting for the aforementioned book.
    Fruits Basket 8, Natsuki Takaya
Full Moon wo Sagashite 1, Arina Tanemura (This one was a must-buy the second I saw it...the first manga I read was Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, after watching and loving the anime of the series, by the same manga-ka)
    Shirahime-syo, CLAMP

    Heh...
