They are going Muti-Console Next Generation...Originally Posted by Ragnar

I doubt it. FFXI going to the 360...fine let them have it. But its probably the truth when I say that Final Fantasy will always be on the Playstation.
Listen man, Square-Enix knows there's huge market potential in an FFVII remake, so there's always the chance that the tech-demo could become something more then that somewhere down the road.Originally Posted by Ragnar
And even if nothing comes of it, where's the harm in hoping it might? What makes that so stupid, Ragnar? Please do explain. :eyeball:
Now this doesn't make too much sense. Square will never go multi-console, forgoing the potential to increase their profits by reaching an even wider market then they would by developing for a single system....because fans will follow them around to whatever system they choose to develop for?Well there were some PC ports. But those were logical seeing as the PC market was entirely different from the PSX market. Square-Enix will probaly never go multi-console, cause they know their fans will follow them to whatever system they choose![]()
Yeah....
Square-Enix already said they were developing games for the X360...Originally Posted by Cyberxion_Mark II

I hope they make a FinalFantasy 7 remake.
Maybe if the remake didn't suck I'd actually be able to agree with FF7 fan's, as long as I use ambiguos answers. Oh yah, I liked Final Fantasy 7.
as long as I just don't mention I ment the remake only, it'll work.
I am in no way responsible for the above post. It was my hand's fault. Bad hand.

So, if they do make a remake, the Graphics and such would be greatly improved upon, but what about everytihng else? will they add in anything? one thing I'd think would be cool is if all the music was of better quality instead of like MIDIs, they could use actual Chorus and Instrumentals with the full game. but that'd probably cost alot :/ but... I figure it'd make the game more enthralling and a must have for FFVII fans, but yeah, that's just me
When I want your opinion, I will diffuse it from you through osmosis!
No kidding, eh? I don't recall saying they weren't.Originally Posted by GundamGuy
Why don't you go bother Ragnar, who said that they would never go multi-console, despite the fact that FFXI is due on the 360?
The FF series will never die. Even if the Revo or 360 get a bigger market share then the PS3, the series simply has too many fans for Square to kill it. It's one of their biggest cash-cows, and on the off chance the PS3 did so terribly that they weren't making money by putting the games out on that, they'd just move the series to the system with the biggest market-share. That's if they don't go multi-console with the series proper (IE. NOT FFXI..), and you never know, they just might.![]()
Hmmm, but weren't the MIDI's only on the PC port? Gods know how surprising I found it when I learned One Winged Angel actually had lyrics and a full orchestral.Originally Posted by Lonewolf

That was exactly my point... Though I tried to express it through sarcasm...Originally Posted by Cyberxion_Mark II
Anyone who says FF will always be on Playstation... are forgetting a few things... A) It started on Nintendo, and was carried over to SNES... and B) Square-Enix owes no Allegence to Sony... They can do what they want... It is possible that they could go Muti-Console if the market shares are more evenly distributed. Which is what I figure is going to happen.

You're really bad at sarcasm GundamGuy. Well, it doesn't help that you rarely use it.Originally Posted by GundamGuy
Yeah, I agree with you completely, of course. Only time will tell, eh?
I think the port of FFXI to the 360 sets a precedent for Square-Enix to port other games to the console, should that one prove to be a hit.
I don't know that I'd buy the game again, but maybe if it were free to play on XBL during the weekends I might...
Hey, I already said earlier that the rumor is plausable. Current system remakes are Enix's cash cow after all. Just don't get your hopes up, after all they already did this with FF 6 and 8 beforeOriginally Posted by Cyberxion_Mark II
It's been what they've done all along... Although actually thinking about it they've done a lot of multi-console games in the past, seeing as Square was publishing EA stuff in Japan for a whileOriginally Posted by Cyberxion_Mark II
If they thought that was a good idea they would probably already be doing it themselves.

You see, it's that you said it "wasn't smart" to hope for a remake the bothered me. Where's the harm in hoping? Answer: there isn't any. If it happens, then great. If not, then having wished it had isn't going to lead to a premature death. At least it shouldn't.Originally Posted by Ragnar
I love how you insist on sticking to this particular stance, even in the face of the irrefutable fact that FFXI is coming to the XBox 360. That would be a *GASP* multi-console FF game, now wouldn't it? Yeah. It's been what they've done all along... If you want to get technical, they've been multi-console developers for some time, what with FF Tactics Advance, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and FF Crystal Chronicles appearing on Nintendo's GBA and GC respectively. So I would say that Square obviously thought it a good enough idea, because they've been making games for systems other then Sony's for awhile now. Maybe not in the magnitude they make games for that system, but they have done so, so there's really nothing to argue here. Unless you happen to ignore the facts staring you directly in the face.
Anyway, noone really knows what they're planning on doing during the next generation of systems, so were not going to know for awhile if Square intends to go multi-console with the FF games one way or another for a long while.
Tsk, fuck Squenix (I predict that they'll change their name like that) it's not like they've made a good game in ages. If they were to actually make a new Final Fantasy VII I'd show them just how mad I am with them by not buying it. That'd teach them, yeah....hahahaha, suckers. Something Else for the win.
I don't know you, you're not my friend.
I'm full of good ideas..
Okay, yes Final Fantasy XI is being ported to a third system now. Which does make perfect sense, the PS2 version is dead growth-wise. Sony prettymuch told them to fuck off when they discontinued the PS2 hard drive.Originally Posted by Cyberxion_Mark II
But really, can you see Square-Enix releasing say Final Fantasy XII the way Fantastic Four or any old sports game is being released right now? No, that's my point entire point. They don't need to release 2-3 different versions of a game simultaneuosly. It'll be a dark day when RPGs start getting released like sports games...
