Covered Macbeth, Beowulf, AND King Arthur this (last) year of high school. Beowulf totally ruled, I read the whole thing by myself even though we didn't have to, I got so into it. Funny 'cause I would fall asleep in class while listening to Bathory on my CD player. Listen to the song "One Rode to Asa Bay" and you'll understand what the hell this band has to do with Beowulf.

More rep for reading Beowulf, you rep whore.

    Glad this is active again.
Read The Curious Incident about the Dog in the Night Time. Fantastic read.
Reading The Glass Palace- Amitav Ghosh, one of the few Indian writers I'm really enjoying the reading.

What a coincidence Gheist. I'm reading LOTR as well and yes, it's very slow. But somehow I find it weird that such a slow story can still grip me at times.. I have developed a taste for the kind of detail and insight the books offer. : )

I read The Diceman (by Luke Rhinehart) recently. I found that really interesting, and would definetely reccomend it.
There used to be a real me, but I had it surgically removed.

I'm currently reading IT by Stephen King, and Frank Miller's Sin City: The Hard Goodbye. Both are awesome. I've always loved Frank Miller's work and I can't wait to read some more of his Sin City graphic novels.

right now im reading two books. The first bein A Short History of Nearly Everything. i can't remember the author, but it basically talks about how we found out all this stuff that we know, like about atoms and other science related material. it can get boring at times, but is still very interesting. the other book i am reading is Lies and the Lying Liers Who Tell Them by Al Franken. it points how many lies by conservatives like George Bush and Bill O'Reilly.

A Short History of Nearly Everything is by Bill Bryson. He's a great author, funny but really interesting. Call me a giganerd but I found all the stuff about the size of elementary particles fascinating (and mind boggling)

i actually found the part where he talked about how yellowstone could have a huge eruption at any moment to be very suspensful.
