Those crazy Japanese. What will they think of next? But seriously, this is pretty amazing. I wonder how long it'll take before this gets around the world.

Oh snap. I haven't seen you in ages, BTZ. Welcome back, or something.
But yeah, I guess this means children in Africa who are born HIV positive get a chance to live now.

Of course, that's some great news... Yeah, I hope they'll also find a cure for cancer, but this alone is a great development.

That is amazing. I can see it costing a lot of cash though, so can you guess what countries won't be able to afford it yet?

Not to be too cynical by the way This really is a medical breakthrough and amazing achievement in itself.

As much as I wanna believe this, I can't. If there was a cure, it would have been all over the news. I did some reasearch and so far this is the only site to have this. Even CNN, Yahoo! News (under world news) have nothing about it. I did a search in those sites under HIV. There was nothing saying someone found a cure for HIV.

I hate to say this but every few years a drug comes out claiming to treat diseases that are untreatable and most of the time, after more testing is done they are proven to be ineffective. This drug may help for a small amount of time but evantually may stop working.. right now the only way to prevent aids is to use protection..

Yeah, great news. I don't think it will prevent it 100%, just like any other thing, but will cut down the volume. So, if you have HIV first, then this will help, but you already have AIDS, we need to still work on that.
