Completely random, but like.. I was set up by my BESTEST friend ever to "hook up" with this guy who lives in the same town as me.
We'll call him Bob.
Me and Bob talked on msn and whatnot (because I'm currently elsewhere on vacation) and he's all nice and stuff, thinks I'm cool, etc. etc.
He even says I'm pretty, hot, and other such flattering things. and my BESTEST friend ever is all like "lol he likes you aww."
Ofcourse, I'm sucked into all of this.
Everything was all dandy until last night, when my BESTEST friend comes online and tells me ALL about Bob, who she met at the Canada-day celebrations.
He apparently smokes a lot, drinks a lot, and gambles all his money away.. AND works at the local 7-11.
And I don't think that's cool.
AND he found a girl in a random bar and now claims her as his girlfriend!
so THAT was a huge waste of my time. (But the random girl in the bar saved my ass! so that's positive, right? )
Also, my BESTEST friend had to cancel her plans of coming to the itsy bitsy island I'm on for a week because she has to work.
Yesterday... really wasn't much fun at all.

I have a nice red line running down the right side of my LCD monitor, and a quick web search revealed it as a common hardware fault. Thankfully, I've found my receipt and a copy of the manufacturer's warranty (which is still valid, still better), but I still need to actually track down a local branch of the manufacturer if I ever want this replaced or fixed. Shouldn't be too hard, but it is a bit of a hassle.
