Worst Game in Your Opinion.

WWE Wrestlemania 21 is the worst excuse for a wrestling game i've ever played.

Other than that, i'm a believer that the FF series is seriously overrated.

Agreed. Not all of them, since I adored 6 and 7, but some need to learn to judge these games individually, instead of thinking it'll be great just because it's part of the franchise. 10 was just an insult, I think =P

I've played too many terrible games to narrow them down to just one. Though I did play a pretty shitty Genesis game the other day. Back to the Future III. I wasn't expecting it to be great, and it shattered my expectations by being completely unplayable.

For while you named the worst game franchise, im going to name the worst game of the worst franchise.

Pokemon Dash. Your a Pikachu and you have to run forward. Thats it.
Notice that its made by the creators of another crappy game, the talk-recognition Hey-You Pikachu! (which barely worked)

Let me give you the basics:

You can ONLY be a pikachu. Comps are other characters, but with the EXACT same abilities.

To move, you rub the stylus in the direction you want to go.

While rubbing faster makes you go faster, its top speed is a pretty casual thing. The rubbing is more trying to get the right direction than speed.

The courses are pretty linear, thanks to checkpoints.

You are more or less 'blind' to the track, thanks to no overhead map unless you stop and go into the sky with a balloon, but you cant move unless your on the ground.

Graphics that remind me very much of SNES days. (3D characters, but the rest is 2D) (see below pic)

Okay, that does sound pretty awful, but I retain that Actraiser 2 was just too awful to describe.

yeah, I heard about it in EGM, then got the details off of IGN.

However, the sad part is, is that it is for the DS.

If it was for the NES, SNES, GB, or GBC, I would understand. The graphics were limited, and developers were just getting used to the console business. Okay, I wouldn't understand, because gameplay was good back then, and they gameplay on this plain sucks. But the graphics were understandable. However, considering that it is for a system as powerful as the DS (i know the DS isnt that powerful, but when you look at this...), someone must've either procastinated to close to crunch time, or had a few too many beers.

Yeah, I think the main issue is that they're obsessing over the DS's gimmick, it's a sad state of affairs, especially considering it's a nintendo system.

I think the same thing might happen with the revolution. While we have no solid info, we know its going to 'change the way we play games', like the DS.

For one, developers care mostly about money (except for the few good ones). If they make a game for a system and use a feature the other ones don't have, it'll be difficult to port it, meaning they made the game for only one system. However, if they make it for TWO systems, thats DOUBLE the amount of people who have the system to buy it, and DOUBLE the income.

Two. The developers who make games for the revo will most likely obsess over its gimmick or 'revolutionary way of gaming', making games just to try and utilize whatever gimmick we'll get.

Hmmm, worst game. Well, right now, Rise of the Robots (SNES), Deadly Power Moves (Genesis), and Stellar Fire (Sega CD) come to mind.

That's very much true... Though your forgetting one thing in the Money equation... Development Cost... It's going to cost a lot less to develop games for the Revolution then it is for the PS3 or X360... mainly due to the lack of HD. Nintendo's goal with the Revolution is to make it as simple yet powerful as possible. They are trying to make it half as expensive to develop games of equal quality for the Revolution then the other next gen's. So by your equation that's Two totaly diffrent games per every one on the PS3/X360.

Besides you will not be able to direct port between the PS3 and X360, It's still going to take lots of time and money to port the games.

PS: The DS has as much (possibly more) Developer support as the PSP... so I guess the gimmicks not getting in the way to much.

The PS3 HDD is optional at this point, so that does not contribute to the cost of creating games for the PS3 vs Revolution. If anything, having the HDD is better, since you dont have to rely on the data streaming constantly off the disk, and can cache it to the HDD before you, saving time and additional optimization.

Not HDD... HD... High Def... You know the PS3 and X360 are going to suport High Def output... To make games look that good and not jagy at those resolutions takes more development cost and time.

It definitely wont be 2 different games for revo to one same game for 360 and PS3. We have yet to see which comes out better.

Also, when people see how great HD looks, the main 'woah that looks awesome i don't care how it plays' crowd (which is the gaming crowd, no matter what you try and say. you know it) will buy the game because of the looks that they see.

I know games should be bought for gameplay not graphics, but...

Most of the gaming community (the ones who just play and dont go on message boards) think the NES sucked because of its inferior graphics and sound. Unfortunately, that's how it is. Even though the NES kicked ***.

However, it all just depends on which system gets more developer support. Sony, Xbox, or Nintendo.

Lastly, you kind of have to say Nintendo completely sucked this generation. No amazingly best seller FPSes (MS had Halo AND Halo 2), no online play (well one game, PSO, for 12.95 a month), compared to Sony (free excluding FFXI), and MS (5.95 a month/50 a year, excluding PSO for 8.95 a month). 90% of early adopters will either A) buy the system the succeeds their favorite system from last gen, or B) buy the system that releases a few months before the others, so they don't have to wait while others are using next-gen systems.

Either way, Nintendo is most likely going to lose the early adopter round.

I googled Baby Universe, and that is the hands down worst game ever.

Just to let you guys know, though, you can actually SAVE your 'videos' to a Memory Card to play back for a friend. SOME ONE! PLEASE MAKE AN ISO OF THIS!!!
