Yeah this time its no rumour. Whats odd about the whole thing is i read a rumour about a month ago that they were in talks to play live 8, then like a week later Pink Floyd's management announced that they had no intention of playing. Then a few weeks later this announcement was made. I'm truly happy about this. I never thought I would ever see a day when the main 4 members of Pink Floyd get back together and play. I cant wait to see the broadcast. One of the best bands to ever be will play again with their core lineup from their prime days. Truly a good day for music.

It's a great event to announce something like this, although I've read a few sites stating that the Floyd would only be performing 4 songs...we'll see..hopefully "Animals" in full counts as one track! I can only hope

Just watched it live, I was amazed at how fucking good they sounded. Proper emotional viewing for me. I am in awe.

that was like a religious experience for me....the most mind-boggling thing was how much they seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves....great stuff...can only hope for a short tour
