Slow down gba emulation?

Im at a point in a game where there is some slot machines, and I was wondering if there was a way to slow the game down to help me win. Can it be done?

If you're playing in VisualBoy Advance, in the menu go to Options->Frameskip->Throttle and put it to less than 100%. That should slow it down.
