    Default PS2 burning and playing

ok, i dont know if this is illegal or not on the boards, so mods forgive me if it is. but i just recently recieved a ps2. i want to know what it would take to successfully burn a ps2 game and play it on my ps2 with no problems. if i need a modchip, how much would that cost, etc.

You need a mod-chip or you need to use swap trick. However, the swap trick is not as usable on PS2 as it is on the first PlayStation, since you need to remove the disc while it is spinning, and it will be scratched.

from what i understand, i could purchase a slide card set for $35 dollars from mod-chip.com. anyone ever used this before? know if its cheap and easy and effective? basically my question is whats the cheapest, easiest, and most effective way to do this. it seems mod-chip.com has a lot of solutions, which one is the easiest?

ive got the slide card set but theres a couple of problems such as more then one card(easily lost) and they can be broken easily. but if your realllllllllly careful youll be alright i guess.

what about the PnP Set where you plug two ribbons in and use the swap disks?

You have more of a chance of screwing up your PS2 with the Swap Trick or the Ribbon Cables than you would have with a properly soldered PS2 Mod. My advice to you is to pay for a PS2 mod and have somebody who knows what they are doing install it (you can probably pay to have it installed, too.) I paid to have my PSX Mod Installed and it works like a dream. There is no swapping, you put the game in and play. Swapping damages the disk and it wears down the laser.
