Everywhere?!? :O!!!!!
Everywhere?!? :O!!!!!
I've lived in teh US all my life... I don't know the National Anthem... I just notice if someone else is fucking it up. If I was being asked to sing it, I would make a bigger ass out of myself than she did before falling on the ice.
Ah, the American national anthem. Not many countries I know of have a drinking song for their anthem.![]()
When was this game??? You DO know that the National Hockey League, (Canadian and US Players) are on strike for this season right? How could a game have been played?Originally Posted by Castlevania

Well... hockey isn't that big of a sport in the US, right? ... If people got so irritated at a hockey match, I would like to see the crowd's response if this happened at a baseball or American football game. *pictures the girl being tackled/hit with a baseball*![]()

If i was there in the audience i would have laughed my head off, seeing as i'm not american either I have no idea what the words are for your "Stars and Stripes". So laughing would be acceptable, booing is wrong coz i don't know the words either.
On the seventh dawn of the seventh day a twice-blessed man will roam the fields. Doomed to shadows with his brethren, or saviour to all who walk the ground.
If I were there... well, I would have laughed, maybe. Hey, I'm not an angel. But I don't think I would've booed her... that's just not my style.
And anyway, why would I even go to a hockey match?? Ehh.![]()
Not gonna read all the replies, but i read some... No offence to anyone that actually likes the nation anthum of the United States of America. I hear it 5 days a week. (accept summer) May i mention how it never sounds right to me any single way you play it. But for humor i would love to hear it on babpipes. Wait, never mind. I'd never think of bagpipes the same again... I might some day come up with a parody of it and sing it with pride to get kicked out of school for 3 days. (or maybe ISS.)
O.J. can you see?
Even though eyes are shut?
O.J. Simpson I lost,
all my sanity today,
With the cock of my gun,
I will spare not a punk,
I will shot you down,
and laugh at your loss.
O.J. that big gun will shot you till you die,
For the bullet in your head, and a shot in everyyyyyyyyyy eye.
I don't think I would boo at her, but I think I would be severely disappointed that she was chosen to sing both national anthems and failed to do it. Patriot or not, I think you should expect people to know what they are singing before they go out in front of a large group of people.
Need something good....
Very obviously she was supposed to know it. I mean only a vicious little terrorist who had bombs up her panties would not know the words to the National Anthem.Originally Posted by Kazuya

Anyhoo, the Indian national anthem, used to play before and after every movie in the theatre or any public event and everyday in school, we had to sing it, so its quite easy to remember it, even though its in Sanskrit.
I think that he was saying that she was supposed to know the lines not just because it was the American anthem, but because she was supposed to give the opening act, and knew it would include both anthems. As such, given she knew it was necessary to sing both anthems, she should have learned both anthems in advance. Just the same as if she had needed to sing La Marseillaise instead of the Star Spangled Banner and had botched that, to give another example.Originally Posted by Dingy
