Default Star Wars Fanmade Movie (low-budget, high production)!!!

Okay... just talked to Sprung and Uncle Evil about this, and so far, I love this movie! Firstly, this is a free movie, downloadable from www.panicstruckpro.com/revelations. Secondly, very low budget, but somehow super awesome CG was snuck in.

The main video is 250MB in size for a 47 minute movie. If youre a Star Wars fanatic though, they also have a DVD version available for download at 3.5 GB, plus a hour and a half behind the scenes clocking in at 4.5 GB.

    Seriously, check it out!

Enjoy it Valholy. BTW... why was this moved down into the depths of the subforums? I thought Sprung was allowing me to post this up Free 4 All...
Oh well, great movie nonetheless. Spread the word!

That's my bad. I thought that this would be a more appropriate section for this then FFA. Though if Sprung said you could post it there, then so be it. I'll move it back.

Thanks Cyber. I just thougth it would get a lot more attention up here then down in the subparadises. BTW... if you get a chance, check out the info about how they pulled this movie off, amazing how they did this with a little under $10K (speculative, cuz the camera alone cost $4K). Also if anyone goes to download the DVD, please tell me if the quality is worth the 3.5 gig download, cuz I don't have a DVD burner (I use Daemon Tools).

Yes, you can download the 242 MB QuickTime video using Xfire's P2P download system, but I am going to get the DVD version tonight

I downloaded the DVD version. I don't know if it was WMP or Daemon's Tools or what but the voices and the mouths were just .01 seconds off. Just enough for you to notice it. It doesn't bother you that much though. The quality is pretty good. The big improvement is being able to watch it on your DVD player if you don't have TV-Out. The menus are pretty good.

There is also a PSP download. It's 127 MB. Once I get me a memory card large enough I'm going to try it out.

The DVD is not of very high quality. It is fuzzy and blur, but that's maybe because of their equipment they recorded their movie, and the special effects were not made with super computers. So in case you don't need DVD version, you should be good off with smaller versions also. But the DVD had subtitles

The acting is quite terrible, even when accounting for the fact that it's an amature production. That said, the above average production values are a definite plus, and it's almost worth watching just to see what they were able to pull off on the budget they were working with.
