AO was considered one of the best MMO's.
But with the release of WoW, EQ2 pretty much eveyone left so Funcon now it's
letting people play free for a year and if you want the expansions then you have to pay the monthly fee.
Too bad so many MMO's get canceled, I really only think there is room for 3-4 MMO's tops.

have you guys heard of ROSE online or how about Maple Story?? why don't you guys reivew those.
EDIT: page 3 has them well i haven't played MS or ROSE but i heard Rose looks promising MS i don't really know looks kinda cheap.
I heard there's a free online game coming out called MAGIC PUNK go look it up if you're interested. i'm not sure what it is myself so yea heh.

I have some news about Maple Story, if anybody's interested. Well, I know some of you guys might know this MMORPG, but everyone complained that the registrations for the beta signup was closed. But... if you wanted to play this game earlier but wasn't quick enough with registering, read this:
"Due to the overwhelming demand, we will be temporarily opening the Beta Signups for MapleStory Global." (...)
"The Signups will be opened from Friday morning (3/18) to Tuesday morning (3/22) (Korea time)."

Yup, Maple Story beta signups will be open again, from March 18th to 22th.
I hope this helped some of you who wanted to play a free mmorpg. Not of the best quality (well, it's still a beta test...), but much better than PlaneShift, for example. Played it myself, but stopped, cuz I'm not really fond of mmorpgs, but if there are some mmorpg fans around here, you can give it a try.
ps.: NO, don't ask me to play the game with you, as I've said before, I don't play it. And I never will. I just posted here to help others find a free online rpg. Discussion over.

If anyone is interested in a maple story account, I can give you mine: I have a lvl 25 thief character (and you can create new characters from the start if you want). I got really bored with maple after a week so I don't really mind.
I'm not asking anything for it, but if someone would help me get the hokuto no ken isos for psx, he'll be the one to get it for sure

Guys try www.byond.com .......its an enguine that allows you to play/make games.....its pretty cool if you are into rpgs or making you own shit(and have experience coding....but if you dont....this is a great training program for comp. tech class for all those high school/colegue guys...)

Ultima Online is very good, I find it to be fun overall. Its not free if you play it normally, but if you play on a player run shard, its fun... The new versions of the game suck and its just dumb. But if you play on Angel Island, thats like the best free shard there is for the game.
www.game-master.net thats has all the info for that shard, it says how to download the client for the game, and what to install so you can have the best UO experience.
