What's wrong with mario games? Mario Kart DS Super Mario Bros. DS

I'd rather get a DS since it's cheaper and it'll have Final Fantasy III, Advanced Wars, Metroid Prime and Castlevania. But I'll see what's new at E3.

Any new info about that Mario game? It's been some time since a "real" Mario game.

Let's keep this thread to calm, friendly discussion regarding the PSP and the DS. Any more hostility and it will be closed.

That said, debating is more then welcome. Let's just keep it civil, alright folks?

I don't see what the problem with that is...

If you mean the games are not released soon enough for you likeing... then that's sort of understandable... though I think that it's better to make a good quality product then rush it to market.

Windows XP... the day it was released there were already over 70 MB of patches to be downloaded...

And to keep this thread on topic, I think that the dual screen system DS has is very innovative. I don't know if it works well, because I have never had any opportunity to test it. But the games are that makes systems good. Like I don't like Linux that much because there aren't very much good games for it. Same applies here. I think DS has only those Nintendo-style games, if you know what I mean. PSP, however, has more like those mass ideas, like racing and action games. It just depends on which genre you like more. I personally would prefer the style of games PSP has / will have over DS.

... The DS is not going to get racing or action games... huh...

Also what is a Nintendo Style game...?

It's way early to say which has what style games.... not to mention that each system will have games from every genre eventuly....

Of course we can't know what kind of games there will be, but I believe that the games on DS are those not-so-action-based games. I mean, those games like Pokmon. Of course there can be race games and even FPS games, but as seen in previous consoles, there is some difference between the overall genre of games between Nintendo's and Sony's consoles. At least I think that PlayStation (2) has had more fast-paced games than Nintendo's current generation consoles, but I haven't seen all of them. I just can't figure out how that touch screen could be used in fast games...

Are you kidding the touch screen would rule in a racing game, You could have the bottom screen the reveiw mirror . In a shooting game it would be excellent for guided missiles.

But the touching feature wouldn't still be of much use. But maybe there isn't a need for that... But that 2nd screen sure is something that makes DS stand out of the mass. Not many gaming-capable devices have more than 1 display (some phones do have)

You would be suprised.... the touch feature could be wicked cool with a FPS...

very good targeting...especialy for a handheld. The MP:Hunters demo is a good example of this... I love the way you aim with the touch screen.

Or you are a PSP fanboy. I have no feelings twords either company I just state what I think would be good. 2 views are always better than one because you don't have to use the second one if you dont want to. In all the games so far you can use the Touch screen to controll your Charecters. Thus making it a secondary control method, and a second screen get my drift?
