Kissing is a way to demonstrate affection, now then, there's many kinds of kisses... There's the frenchy swirl, the soft & tender romantic kiss, and then there's the smooch... Nothing wrong with a parent giving his/her child of the oposite sex a smooch in the lips, as long as it's done with good intention, such as a way to express "I love you, kiddo... *smooch*".
So read: child, anything pre-teen applies, anything beyond would just be... weird... Hey, even I have my limits.
And now you people just seem puzzled as to why people would do such a thing... What...? Patting your kid on the ass once in a while is a bad thing...? How 'bout caressing their face in a playful manner...? Or even rubbing their belly softly...?
It's an expression of genuine love and affection, and nothing else... Taken in a different context, however, it can mean something entirely different, but that's not the case here...
Dingy are the thread stealer... Obviously, there's a difference between showing your kids affection and abusing them... In your case, it's the latter... Unless guys in India do that all the time, which I highly doubt...

No. All guys in India don't do that. And I am also very sure that it was abuse not a kiss displaying acute paternal love.
But as I've said before. If it has good intentions behind it, then its ok I guess, but there should be mutual consent.
