hmmm. thats odd. maybe ur pc has some sort of restrictions or a high level of security for it to not let you connect to p2p programs.

LimeWire and Azureus. Bittorent is my thing now. It has a great community and I'd have to think that it's the only filetype with it's own followers, you know? I might go back to kazaalite or something.

Direct Connect pwns all, and that's that. BitTorrent sucks, and will soon be a distant memory to us all since SN and Phoenix died. Another reason it sucks is you have to be dependent on people actually seeding stuff, which most people don't. They just grab it and go away. I have never liked Morpheus. Kazaa and Shareaza blow too. WinMX and LimeWire are only decent for getting mp3's. With DC, all you have to do is get a bomb-ass hublist, which isn't hard to find, load it up, arrange the hubs by the amount of users, connect to the ones with the most, and you can find anything on this godforsaken ball of dirt we call Earth. Nuff said...

I've been kind enough to let this topic continue along the good clean path that it has, even though this is in a sort of contradiction to the NO Warez rule we have going on. Links will simply not be tolerated. I will delete your post without warning and without qualms or queries. I won't allow naming of sites that contain current games, music, movies, apps or anything else. If I find any of it, I will either edit or delete your post immediately. Now continue along with your good clean discussion.

But DC ain't safe to use with the new version out. Even if you d/l from someone with the new version, you're screwed....at least that's what i read in the DC forum.

Guess what? You can be tracked no matter what program you use, if certain authorities choose to do such a thing. What I can't figure out is, how come Napster got shut down and had to abide by certain rules to start up again, and not WinMX??? I swear that WinMX was around before Napster, and you can get mp3's for free all day and night from WinMX just like you could from Napster in the beginning, yet I don't see Metallica crying about WinMX. So really, what is up with that???!

I have DC++ v0.4034, and I do not intend on upgrading. Also I have the installer for it, and I have no intentions on deleting it either. There's no way I will upgrade to the newer ones.

EDIT- Scorps, check your private messages on how to get the installer from me.
