Converge is metalcore? I was postitive they were hardcore with some grind-ish elements... but I don't see the metal anywhere except perhaps in the drumming. I thought metalcore was more like Stampin Ground and Lamb of God...

    Wormed - Tunnel of Ions

First track on their album. Fucking brutal. Slim, if you like Converge and Suffocation, you will friggin' love this band to death(pun intended). No gore/death lyrics, just really fucked up growling about human evolution, time & space, geometry, and other weird shit like that. The vocals feel a lot like Cryptopsy, but they're less harsh and grindish.

This band will make your head fall off.

Btw, listened to Jane Doe last night... and immedeately burned it on a CD with some of their live songs...

I've been meaning to check that band out for a while, I will once I'm finished with this Cap'n Jazz album. 150mb albums hurt dialup users.

And Converge are metalcore in the purest sense of the word. Most metalcore bands are just lumped there because there's nowhere else to put them. They are essentially hardcore punk, but far heavier and more intense, plenty of metal riffs also. The grindcore I think comes from how unlistenable they are to the casual listener.

    Converge - Heartless

From You Fail me, after months of looking for a tab, I just decided I would sit down and figure it out myself, and I was done in about 15 minutes ...

    Trogdor, Trogdor

Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
    Uhm...but he was still

    Stormwarrior - Lindisfarne

A catchy powerful song about invading a church, killing the priests and the carnage that follows. A very powerful closer to one of power metal's better offerings.

Or you could just get Symphonies Of Sickness. And Tarz likes Converge ie she's better than you.

    Pig Destroyer - Torture Ballad

Terrifyer is great riff after great riff, from open to close, fucking fast and compact. Grindcore supreme...

I'm listening to Voltaire - Love Song.

Cover of... I don't remember who did the original. But it's good, at any rate, and fairly hard to find too.

You should look into making better posts, Adsij. Slim's going to kill you...
