I just discovered that my DVD drive cannot read digitally audio-CD's. That means I can't rip any audio tracks using DAE. And ripping using analog mode takes ages.

I let some stupid lady goad me into showing up on the local news in regards to a water problem my apartment complex has been having. She showed up at my door to talk about it the issue, as we'd discussed it the day before. Next thing I knew, the local news team was right in front of my door interviewing me. It all happened so fast that I just got sucked into it. I really had no way out of it. The great thing about it is that if they choose to use my testimony I'm going to come across looking like an ass about something that didn't really bother me. I'll probably be evicted too.
Had the idiot actually bothered talking to the apartment managers about it, this problem could've been fixed up right away. Now I'm going to appear on the news, unshaven and slightly drunk, representing an issue I couldn't care less about. Wonderful. I asked them if there was any sort of release forms I had to sign, looking for a way out, and they told me that there wasn't. Great. Unless they find footage more compelling then mine, and given the state of local news as of late I doubt they will, I'm going to go on. Curse my luck.
Eh, if anything, I'll record the footage and upload it here so you can all laugh at me. Yeah, that should be a kick.

Have to write my final presentation that has to be given trow. Haven't slept more than 4 hours every night, will go to bed early today so I can wake up early and do it.

Was reading stuff about this flu pandemic that is ment to happen sometime this year and the whole avian flu it really scares me about all this flu crap and how the UK is so unprepeared for it. Though my dad works in emergency planning he says I shouldn't worry about it cos of all the cold and flu medicines available still scary stuff though. The thought of the flu killing 50 million people.

More fun, we have no samples of the Spanish Influenza Virus that killed over 25 million (not 50 million, but some estimates put it as high as 40 million), so there is no vaccine or treatment for it should it reemerge. It's also viciously virulent. Spreads like wildfire, kills within hours of initial infection when it breaks down the lungs and drowns you in your own blood, and affected the healthy, young adults worst of all (rather than the very old or young). And, worst of all, it's still out there, only in a dormant state within the avian population.
