    Default Please Help Me

Im having issues with ff9 on epsxe.

When i enter the battle screen i cannot see the battle menu and thus cannot see what attacks im chosing. This appears to be the ONLY PROBLEM with my emualtion venture, however it is a large one.

Im using pete's (DX6, or sumthing of that sort)
(yes i know about the config option for ff9)
    1001 bios.
    The iso is fine.
    My pc is good enough.

    Any help would be great.

also maybe using 1.5.2 may help as final fantasy games tend to work better in this from what I've heard.

Enable Special Fixes for FF7 in Pete's D3D/OGL Plugins.

Still unsure? Check out my guide below.

1.5.2 is a older version of ePSXe emulator if you don't know and it has no problems
    running this game.
I'll tried it myself and to be honest ePSXe 1.6.0 is no good at running Square games.

Edit: Beat me again I don't have luck posting today

However round game's run fine on ePSXe 1.6.0 ... ( i could not help my self.)

Really trust me on this 1.5.2 works wonders for games by Square-Enix.

    Already using epsxe v1.5.2...

Videos are fine, game speed is fine, music is fine, the lack of battle menus is the only problem...

got the battle menus working once with another plugin but it was slow and very buggy, so i dont think its a compatability issue, since the rest of the game works fine..

    This is driving me insane..

    PLEASE HELP!!

    Settings:
-Pete's 3D3 (dx7) renderer (game looks ok with this and runs fast)
    -fullscreen
-texture quality : fast but less colour
    -color depth :16 bit
    -auto detect fps
    -Compatibility: off screen drawing -minumum
    advance blending -none
framebuffer text. - fast, no spec.
    farmebuffer axs - emulated vram
    -Alfa Multipass

    MISC
    -unfiltered frame buffer updates
    -Special game fixes: -adjust.... FF7
    -G4 ..... FF9
    - Odd/Even Bithack.... v1.5.2 and older

    Thats about it....

That's your problem right there. You have to use at least extended offscreen drawing for the menus. I hope that works now.
