Usually, I just grab pancakes, eggs, and a little bit of bacon from the cafeteria downstairs, but that doesn't mean I don't see the virtue in Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal.

I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout.

I don't eat breakfast and you should care because if you don't then the world might become corrupt because you don't care about everything... that is my explanation for the world's corruption.

    Never mind...
It's called breakfast because people are lazy. Originally called "break the fast" Breakfas is any mean that you eat when you have not eaten in some time. (usually 10 hours or more without a meal is a breakfast meal.

I had a brunch today, half a pot of coffee, french toast (recipe follows), and a glass of milk (the real deal whole milk).

After i enjoyed my after meal smoke, i dove directly into a 6 pack of cors light.

    Frech toast MY way:
    Mix in a bowl,
some eggs, milk, cinimin, and half a teaspoon of vinnela. Wisk untill its all one color.

Dip texas toast into the eggy liquid and pan fry untill golden brown, be sure to fry at a medium flame (medium setting on electric range). as texas toas will cook out side and be pretty soggy inside if you try to cook it like its reglar bread.

Afterward cut into triangles and sprinkle confectioners (powered) sugar and apply a good amount of syrup.

great meal to serve for gf / bf's birthday or mother's day. Add bacon or other meat as needed.

As sad as this topic is I read every reply. Wow. And now to make my own:

I frequently don't bother with breakfast but when I have it I will normally have rice crispeys (no sugar, but often add chocolate powder) and lots of milk.
On days can't be bothered with breakfast I have black coffee (milk and sugar both RUIN coffees excelent taste).
