Not fair, I COULD have seen Behemoth if I knew they were playing

Carcass - Tomorrow Belongs To Nobody

I don't know why people keep on saying "Swansong" is a crap album, i know it's not as good as Heartwork and their earlier stuff but it's a really good, solid album. Anyway nice solo and the riffs are pretty good

People dislike Swansong because it's such a massive change in direction, well Heartwork was on it's way there. Symphonies Of Sickness is the supreme albume. On that note...

    Carcass - Exhume To Consume

Awesome song from the aforementioned best Carcass album...

Got the remainder of the Carcass albums earlier today. Will start off with Heartwork sometime soon.

FS, I'm sure you can catch other well known bands in Ireland. Just Google "metal" and your town's name and you just might find something. Or you could go to the sites of individual bands and see if they're playing in a big city near you(or in yours if you're lucky). That's how I found out that Behemoth were playing in NYC, no fucking way would they set foot on the tiny ass town that spawned *gasp* My Chemical Romance.

    Mokoma - Lupaus

I decided to check out this band out of sheer curiousity, something I rarely due anymore since I have a huge ass media library. This song... is just kick ass. It's supposed to be heavy metal, and it feels like it due to the crunchy guitars, but the singing is very different than your typical 80's style metal bands. A shame it's all in Finnish, but hey, the language almost makes this sound soothing.

The chorus just kicks ass... kind of reminds me of that modern punk band from Japan: Asian Kung-Fu Generation. This must certainly get some airplay in Finland, it's not pop, but it feels pretty friendly.

    Beh Harper - Alone

Damn damn damn. What the hell is this, Soeru not listening to metal? Indeed, my bro just introduced me to this incredible musician. It feels a bit like Tool, with soul music-style singing. I'm going to make a thread just about this guy.

You can always go see Arch Enemy.

    Arch Enemy - Damnation's Way

Pretty damned cool. It's a rare/unreleased song, has the male vocalist, and kicks ass. A shame most of their material sucks. It's Gothenburg metal... that isn't all that melodic. Very reminiscent of Dismember, including the vox, but for some reason this dude almost sounds like Mark Greenway from Napalm Death(Extreme Noise Terror, and Benediction) on this song.

Listening to the same song here. It sounds like a finnish version of Rammstein, just much cooler. Damned cool stuff, this is.

Exactly what I said in another thread. I just checked out a part of a song and I thought just that, with a bit of Static X thrown in for some reason. But it may just've been my imagination, so I'll check them out and get their album.

    Mokoma - Lupaus

Once again, this song kicks ass. I've got to get around to listening to the whole albums. More Finnish metal here.

    FS: you can't miss that.
