Damn, this is actually good. Howie was right...

Finnish music is just the best.

Of course I was right, but Bakom Varje Fura isn't exactly what Finntroll usually play. But if you liked that song, you'll love Visor Om Slutet, which is an acoustic/ambient-album. Very good stuff.

Belphegor - Fukk The Blood Of Christ

This is a band I need to hear more from.

Many people says: Hammerfall is good.
But I haven't ever heard any songs from Hammerfall.

    Is Hammerfall Norwegian?

Hammerfall is swedish. And well, they're not exactly excellent, but they're ok, at least their two first albums (and the "I Want Out"-EP). Easy to like for "newcomers" to metal in general. Me myself thinks the band is kind of boring.

I'm currently listening to nothing at all because my computer is refusing to work properly, and I can't listen to anything at my stereo since my parents are asleep. BONG!

Yann Tiersen - La Lettre D'explication.
I have no idea what the title means, but I like how the music sounds.

French for 'explanation letter', or something.

Hammerfall are great, just not as good as I hailed them to be 3 years ago. 'Twas my first power metal band... I was completely overwhelmed by the tasty rich cheese, I quickly got into traditional metal again.

GodJONEZ and Adsji or whatever, take it to the hangout, foreverzero's post was deleted, this thread is for discussion and appreciation, not for spam.

The 90 Day Men - Chronological Disorder

What a fantastic album! I love it more with every listen. Bearing more influences than you can poke a stick at, close to perfect indie/math rock/post rock/pop album. Vocals are just divine...

I'm listening to a couple of songs "right now", because I'm listening to them again and agian and again. I can't get tired of them. Yes, they are THAT good. These are I stand alone from Godsmack, and a lots of songs from Elvenking

Please, someone, I beg of you, give Elvenking a chance, it's AWESOME. They're an Italian power metal band (just like Rhapsody), allthough their songs sound like "Irish-metal". I just can't get rid of the feeling that I'm in an Irish tavern, listening to their music, and dancing with all the other elf-like creatures. Wow. You need fantasy for this one, people.
Mainly the thing that will shock you (in a positive way) is the perfect mix of guitar, drums and violins (yeah, the violins are just perfect, hell yeah ), and of course the voice of the singer(s), which you'l never forget.
Oh, and my favourite songs from Elvenking are: Jigsaw Puzzle, The Losers Ball, Another Haven, Midnight Circus, The Silk Dilemma.

I hope I could convince at least one person to try Elvenking... you won't regret it..

EDIT: Hey, thanks for the info, megalith, howie, I'll try those. Thanks again.

I didn't like Elvenking much. They sound like the typical Rhapsody fare. Same formula, only recycled. If you like that kind of music, try a bit of Tyr, Asmegin and Alkonost. They do the same style as Elvenking, but on a much more complex level.

Currently listening to Children of the Damned by Iron Maiden.
    Maiden classic.

All these songs are from their "Wyrd"-album, right? That album was lame compared to "Heathenreel", which is a brilliant album. Songs like Seasonspeech, Oakenshield, Pagan Purity and their cover of Skyclad's Penny Dreadful is amazing. Damnagoras > Kleid

    Finntroll - Jaktens Tid (Acoustic)

Bonustrack on the album with the same name. Awesome.

Bloody lovely song this, and the album its taken from isnt bad either. I bought this the day it was released in the UK, and Im only now really listening to it. What a prick. Still, cracking album.

    Something by Oasis.

I'm not a big fan of Oasis, but they'll be spared from my pop rock bashing solely because they're from the UK. I just find them so... typical, and boring.

    Hopefully FS meant headbang.

Lamb Of God - Blood Junkie

Decided today that this is their best song, after not having listened to them for about 9 years...
