Isn't the Eagle Americas patriotic symbol thing? I can't understand why they would want nazis to have an eagle symbol rather than a swastica... do they mean that violently 'evil' people are patriotic? I'm getting very confused messages.

Silly Norgus. Eagles as a symbol are not indigenous to the US alone. Eagles represent power anywhere. If you are to show brute force and grace at the same time with a single symbol, the eagle has always been the way to go. And yes, the eagles that the Nazis used was indeed a Germanic Eagle, not the Bald Eagle, and if so, I have yet to see any propaganda posters with a Bald Eagle.
