Do not use download managers and ftp clients..........

Omg, no wonder, lol....see if that helps myself download stuff, lol. I was gettign confused when I heard that gimmeroms was a password...lol.
Okay, though I now know what the password and user name is, what do I put for port and url?

You can see the URL at the right side of EP main page. The port should be 21.

lol, okay, I figured that out today, but now i ran into a different problem, heh. I get a 550 permission denied thing after my log-in is succesful...should i wait awhile or what? Just in case, the URL is dc.emuparadise.org?

No, this is the URL to DirectConnect the one to Emuparadise is 70.85.9.138, but as far as I remember the server does not allow filelisting, so using SmartFtp at least in my case will give you 550 error...

Just use Firefox or Internet Explorer to download your files from the EP main site.

okay, heh. Just one more question, maybe....heh. HOw do you use internet explorer to dl the FTP stuff? Do you just type in the 70.85.9.138 in the URL place, and type in the codes? Becuase I have remembered that I have used FTP on interenet explorer once, but that was some time ago....
You know what, I think I figured it out....lol, but still, tell me how to use internet explorer when you feel like you want to, heh. It is good to learn many things,...heh.
Omg, how do you use Fire fox? lol....I tired dling it, but I got a 530 error saying Please tell me who you are.
Man, never mind, I do not know how to use internet explorer....hm...even though I use internet explorer to enter the FFVI game, it gives my a "cannot find server" and I am using interenet explorer. Hm...i am probably using internet explorer in the wrong way...

Wich file did you tried to download with Firefox, tell me and see if it works for me.
Connecting an FTP with IE is rather easy.
just => ftp://the IP goes here
You'll then be asked for usename/password stuff, fill in and you're done.

Don't forget about filelisting.
I think the only way do download form EP via ftp is to give direct link to the file, cause if you try to connect from IE it'll try to list files by default...

The download should work if you just click on the file link at EP main site. Do not mind about those FTP thingies, but if you are using IE, you could activate "Passive FTP" from Advanced options. That should at least do the trick.

Okay...now I keep getting these errors....
200 Switching to ASCII mode.
227 Entering Passive Mode (70, 85, 9, 138, 180, 220)
550 Permission denied.
Man, I have such a messed up computer....lol...
Oh, and this is for trying to use ftp://70.85.9.138
Then turning on Passive FTP thing and clicking on the link does not help.
Oh, and I am trying to dl FF VI with Firefox

IE actually works better..... i keep getting error messages as well. i THINK only you can download at a time due to bandwith.
either that or the servers are full

Well, I am only trying to download one at a time, and out of all the times I have been trying to download, I never could download even once. So, I do not think that the servers are full.

Well, I am using Opera and when I click on a file link there, it asks if I want to enter that address using the username and password provided by the link. When I press Ok, it starts downloading.
