Exactly what I told the bandmembers at their forum. Jim Malone told me he's working on a more accurate tab of "The Face of My Innocence", so I can let you know when it's done if you'd like. The (innacurate) tab I have is in C, but I've heard from someone who has spoken with them that it is in drop C, and the intro to that song is done by tapping, not sweep-picking as indicated on the tab I have. Let me know if you want it.

    Vader - Frozen Paths

The Polish death metal sound. Damn these guys are good. It's cool because the vocals aren't extremely growly, so they're very understandable. Incredibly fast guitar work, lots of tremolo picking and blastbeats on drums, making the main theme sound like a gatling gun. Seriously. If you want to listen to some lightning-fast DM, check this song out.

PS- Their first demo was the best selling band demo in history. How about that...

Send it my way if you get a hold of it.

    Jeff Buckley - Eternal Life

Why couldn't Fred Durst die? Or Nelly? Fucking geniuses with one of the most beautiful, graceful (no pun intended) voices to ever grace (pun very much intended) this earth don't need to die. Ever. Grace is a simply fantastic album...

Fred Durst... I haven't heard that name in years. Here is the tab for that song, supposedly inaccurate according to the original writer.

Morbid Angel - Sworn to the Black

Argh... they're playing twice on Feb 27th and 28th in the same place that I'm going to see Behemoth with Suffocation in NYC on Feb 16th! But the tickets are $30... and there's one catch: Soulfly! So if I go I'll have to sit through some Soulfly songs... damn. Well, I'll think it over and go if it's worth seeing MA live.

Since they're on a special world tour with the original bandmembers and an additional guitarist(so now it's a four-piece) I may go so I can get a taste of some classic early 90's Morbid Angel. w00t.

    Amon Tobin - Reanimator

This track is what Squarepusher would sound like after being fed double-shots of liquid class for a few hours. Lots of beat rushes laid over ominous strings, except the beats are samples of real drums rather than electronic ones which helps to retain the jazzy sound that perforates the rest of the album.

Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element

Awesome track. Closer of the same-titled album, and what a fine album it is. My favourite part is the accoustic break when Daniel lets his voice loose. Progressive doesn't get any better.

    Turisas - Battle Metal

Been listening alot to this album lately, great Symphonic Power Metal (harsh vocals) from... Finland! Perkele pano!

Oh, and I finally uninstalled MusicMatch JukeBox. It took my 6 minutes to load my library last time I opened it. iTunes, here I come...

At the Gates - Blinded By Fear.

This is fairly nice, up to the point where the actual singing starts. God, how awful...

That's the thing, if you give it a few weeks you'll be loving the band, and you'll get used to the harsh vocals. Thomas Lindberg is one of the better vocalists of the Gothenburg genre... May I ask what got you to listen to the band? You may want to check out the band in my sig now, they're somewhat similar.

    Sodom - Genocide

Thrashtastic, not very fast though. Sodom are such a cool band... I need to listen to them more often. Kind of like Slayer, but I kind of like them more.

    Behemoth - Wish

Woo, well who would've thought that a band like Behemoth would do a Nine Inch Nails cover. Pretty cool, but it has vocal distortion... which I just hate. Singing sounds a bit like a drunk Alexi Laiho for some reason. Maybe Nergal just can't sing melodically. Alas, Conjuration is a cool collectors album with covers and live songs, but this track is nothing compared to the Venom cover on the CD. Good solo on this one though.

Pussy. Go throw on some Kenny G and take a bath.

Nora - Nobody Takes Pictures Of The Drummer

I just love that opening fuck chord riff. They did a split with tDEP, which makes them cool...

I would've responded in a similar way, but I actually want him to try more of this music.

Morbid Angel - Day of Suffering (with Phil Anselmo)

A live video. A fan jumps on stage and they let him sing the song. Awesome, not only did he know the lyrics, but he's a good vocalist too. Damn, I hope I can pull off something like that for "Blasphemy" at their concert in Feb.

Nah, I no longer have patience for such close minded fools, "You can't understand what they're saying, ohnoes!" Grind vox are fucking awesome and here to stay. Oddly enough I'm listening to...

At The Gates - Under A Serpent Sun

The last minute has me exploding in my pants...

Oh no, I can make the vocals out. It's just that I don't find them very good, and the voice of the singer... I just don't like it. And, I think someone recommended the song in this thread, and I thought I'd listen to one of you weirdos' recommendations for once.

I do find this song perfectly tolerable, though, and I might very well get into this sort of music if I listen to more stuff like it. Back to NIN with me. Now those are some good lyrics/vocals...
