Anthrax - Deathrider

I just got the new "Greater of Two Evils" album, which is a re-recording of classic Anthrax songs. Now this is just awesome, I can't believe I've ever dissed Anthrax. The video shows some fans just goofing around. This I like.

Tribes of Cain - Soliloquy

An odd begining but gets quite good I think. I started off really with this band, so I'll always have a soft spot for them.

Ah, I haven't listened to them in a while. I remember when you made a thread about that band amongst others back when you joined. Good BM I say.

Slayer - Angel of Death

Classic. Strangely, I don't have any covers of this in my media library. The scream early in the song is one of the most haunting shrieks you'll ever hear, easily confusable with a guitar solo at first. I think I'm going to go grab the tab for this song...

Arsis - Seven Whispers Fell Silent

I said to Soeru this band was "alright" the first time I heard them but for some reason I just have to listen a few times to the tune to truly appriciate it.

?! I fell in love with the band within seconds of listening to "Maddening Disdain", and I still think as highly of them. You told me that dude running the 'metal night' at a club liked Arsis a lot, right? I've spoken with some of the members on a forum.

Tierra Santa - Hamlet

Woo, Hammerfall-style power metal in Spanish. Not as cheesy as I thought they'd be, just very soft and not heavy at all... like Sonata Arctica. Which means= awesome, but I prefer stuff that sounds crunchier and heavier.

Yeah he said they were very good. ta again for the suggestion

Pandemonium - To Apeiron

Another band Soeru recommended. I liked the piano and guitar arrangement in this.

Damn, it's also been a while since I've listened to Pandemonium, despite having their album on the same CD as Arsis'.

Arsis - Seven Whispers Fell Silent

This is the demo version, sounds slightly different. The singing also sounds a bit different, but the rest is the same with lower recording quality. Strangely enough, it sounds better than the album version. If you want their demo, Theo, I can forward it to your Gmail account if you please.

Edit:

Arsis - Veil of Mourning Black

A song only available on their demo. Pure gold.

Meshuggah - I

It's a bit of an epic, and get's slightly tedious around 10 mins, but I love it. The First 5 minutes makes for anything else.

Sent. Anyone else is also welcome, this demo is rather hard to find.

Metallica - Jump in the Fire

I felt like listening to some good old 'tallica, this is one of the best songs off Kill 'Em All. I gotta go to school...

I could listen to that droning at the start of "I" forever, it's almost like post rock in a way. On that note...

Explosions In The Sky - Six Days At The Bottom Of The Ocean

Havent given this album the amount of speaker time it deserves...

Apocalyptica - Fatal Error

Much heavier than the previous releases, and also much better. One thing I do NOT like about this album is that two of the tracks features the vocalist from The Rasmus. Bah.

edit: Judas Priest - Angel Of Retribution has been leaked.

David Bowie - Magic Dance

You do realise, that if you ever listen to this, you wont stop. Horribly addictive, it wil haunt your soul, and then some. Marvellous.

EDIT: On a more serious note;

Starsailor - Four To The Floor (Thin White Duke Remix)

Fucking cracking house remix of an already great track...cant stop listening to it, its absolute quality.

Amon Amarth - Death in Fire

Excellent death metal from the land of the Swedes. Epic as hell , this song is pulls you straight into the hell of battle. And the lyrics are great to boot.

Total war is here, face it without fear
Age of sword, age of spear
Fight for honor, glory, death in fire

Storm of lethal flames
Only death remains
Ragnarok is our fate
Die for honor, die for glory
Die, death in fire
