    Enforsaken - Tales of Bitterness

They are starting to become my fave melo death band. This song has two ace solos in it, one at the start and one near the end

Indeed. Wait 'til your done listening to "Game Over", you will truly empty your bowels.

    Rigor Mortis - Demons

Probably my 2nd favorite RM song, I'm a sucker for pretty much any song with an clean guitar intro. A shame they only have 2 releases out, but they're still around so they might release something new soon. The whole atmosphere this thrash produces is awesomely... awesome.

    Dream Theater - Space-Dye Vest

Probably the best piano piece DT wrote. Musically and lyrically. I'm not too sure, but I think the main melody appears in a passage in The Mirror. It's been a while since I listened to Awake, actually. The atmosphere the guitar under the piano creates is awesome.

Heh, coincidence, we're both listening to death metal with a very similar lyrical theme.

Vehemence - Kill For God(demo version)

I don't care what people say about there new album, it still kicks ass. It's aimed at a wider audience, but not mainstream at all. It has plenty of sad melody, maybe even some emo fans will like this since it's pretty depressive. Excellent guitar work and drumming, and one of the best vocals I've ever heard(the demo version sounds even better than the album):

You want to die and kill for god

Where has the world gone, where is the warmth of the light?
What happened to living for the sake of life?
What kind of god tells you to die?
You ignorant slave - such a waste of life!

You want to die and kill for god

I should take this moment to thank you for helping the world to see
How religion is to blame for the end of humanity
Now you can go back to strapping the bomb to your chest
Maybe I'll see you later when the time is right
To fall...into a sea of flesh

    Kill For God

    What happened to your mind?
    Why must we all die?
The only way to be safe is to kill your god.

(obviously missing indications when to repeat verses). Pretty cool, I don't hold that kind of a grudge against religion, but I really like the message they're putting through in this song. Probably some kind of "fuck you" message to religious fanatic terrorists too.

It rhymes/sounds incredibly awesome in the song, and is 90% understandable. So yeah, even if you don't listen to this kind of music, I suggest you give this song a try. *points to Vehemence's site*

    Manowar - I Believe

Yes, this is so cheesy it smells. But heck, it makes you want to grab a sword and singalong! Whoever said newer Manowar sucked should be hanged. Seriously. Just listen to Call To Arms. AAH!

Hanged... and banged, by Eric Adams. Jeez how I love that song, so cheesy but powerful that it brings a tear to my eye.

    All stand together
    for the world to see.
If you want to win the fight
    say I Believe!

    Manowar - Kill with Power

w00t. Very fast and heavy, a less cheesy Manowar song. It doesn't sound like what they do now, but it's still awesome. I think I'm going to listen to BG's "Battalions of Fear" now...

Ever heard Arch Enemy's cover if this song? If not, please don't.

Running Wild - Under Jolly Roger

Damn, I can't for Rogues En Vogue! "Pirate Metal" rules everything.

I'm listening to the dead air in my headphones, as my sound card decides it no longer wants to work. Great. Eh, at least I'll be getting a new computer in a few weeks.

    Eyes See red - Rapture.

Just seeing what this band is like, seems good from first impressions.

Howie: Yes I have, very disappointing. Their "Aces High" cover also sucked.

Dissection - Shadows Over a Lost Kingdom

I'm listening to the "Into Infinite Obscurity" EP. Damn this kicks ass, I'm rather hesitant to check out their new stuff since I hear it sucks. This is melodic black/death, so those of you who like In Flames, Immortal and such will like this.

Fuck I hate Arch Enemy, a huge step down from Carcass.

    Bjork - Oceania

First single from the latest album, Medulla, it's odd, I'll give her that, I want to hear the rest of the album though. I mean it was a while before Vespertine clicked with me...
