Back to what ForeverZero said halfway through the thread, not only would seeing Beast and Gambit in this upcoming movie, but also bringing the Sentinels and Juggernaut into the mix would be welcome too. Just to see how they would use movie magic to bring them onscreen would be a treat. Just like if Venom were to ever make it into the Spiderman movies.

And Venom into spidey would be awesome. I always liked how he says "Give up? Spoilsport!" in Marvel vs Capcom. That and "We are Venom!". I kept saying that over and over.

Venom should never show his face in the movies. He used to be a decent comic-book character, but I'd vomit if he ever showed up to ruin the movies. IMO, the movies are successful in that they feature villains that are believable, and that reflect on Peter's struggles, almost being an allegory for them. Venom is neither.
He didn't sound anything like Solid Snake in the Spiderman cartoon, so you can put that thought out of your mind.

I think venom will be in a spidey movie. Though it probably wont happen like it did in the comics or animated series.
It looks ilke that astronaut dude Mary Jane was dating might have something to do with bringing venom to earth. At the end didnt he say something about piloting some new space mission? At least thats what i think is going to happen.
And venom would be cool, though i cant really picture how it'll be done...it would most likely have to be computer graphics what with the crazy tongue and all.

i wouldn't mind seeing venom IF its done very well. if he's not created into a well thought out character and believable symbiote look, he'll just be a flop. shouldn't black cat also be in the near future for spidey also?

Another vote here for Venom in Spiderman 3, bit I agree with Cyber that he should be a dark and mysterious character for the most part. The thing about Venom is that in his early appearances there was a real sense of danger because he had pretty much all of Spiderman's powers and was MUCH stronger. The character basically revolved around being a more powerful version of Spiderman, and when that story angle had been worn out he became somewhat of a gimmicky character in my eyes, so here's hoping they put him in the movie and give him some edge. Would also be cool if Carnage could pop up as well, but that may be asking too much...

Yeah, that's asking for alot now. If they do bring venom sometime, he'll prolly be a suckier version of the venom we know about, only because most of the people will say something like:
"WTF?!? He's not gonna beat the hell of Spiderman! And wtf is that black thing anyway?"
I never liked Cassidy alot, he's only a sicko attacking for nothing, compared to Brock which is really pissed off by peter.
That would be cool if they would bring that symbiote on spiderman. I liked how evil spidey was.
I'm missing kraven hunter too. sniff.
But since they all fucked up the spidey story, bringing doc ock without even talking about Eddie Brock, i guess it will be hard to make a movie the fans of spiderman and the newbies that never heard about him will like.

Exactly polo...hollywood screws up all our favorite stuff dont they? But, I still liked the spidey movies. Wasnt rhino one of the first spidey villains? He wasnt in the movie at all as far as i remember. And symbiote spidey would be awesome but i doubt hollywood would do that. It might seem a little too "sci-fi-ish" for the mainstream summer blockbuster crowd. I still stand by my theory venom's gonna come back on the spaceship with MJ's ex in the next movie. Maybe they'll introduce brock in the beginning of the movie too. Remember, peter's only been working at the bugle for a short time in the movie universe. Still plenty of time to meet brock...hopefully.

actually that would be more logical. for spiderman to have the symbiote before venom ever showed up. so far there's been the green goblin and doc oc, i wonder if sandman will ever show. looks like the 3rd spidey flick'll have lizard
i've heard storm wouldn't be in the movie because halle berry wants too much $$ to play the character
