Tekken, more than any other recent fighter, is far too rewarding to button mashers. Ask any man on the street, and if he's big enough to admit the one fighting game in which he lost to a girl, it would be a Tekken game.

There, Ive said it. Tekken is for girls.

Has anyone tried Super Smash Brothers Melee for GameCube? Man, that's the stuff. The best thing in the game is, that it's different from most fighting games. You can only kill your enemies by pushing them out of the "ring" or make them fall down from the fighting arena. And it's much easier to blow them away if you weaken them... And you can use the many items that appear in the environment to help you.

There's nothing better than kicking Pikachu's ass with Link...

Dragon Ball Z, supersonic warriors, simply because it has the best flying aspect of any fighting game and all the familiar characters, plus because it designed for thr gameboy the combos are simple, plus it is the only fighting game i am good at.

I haven't really played that many, though Tekken (despite the inevitable button-bashing) was quite fun. Tekken's actually the only fighting game which I buy and still buy, though I probably won't buy Tekken 5. It gets repetetive, certainly after playing through Tekken 2, 3, Tag Tournament and 4 thousands of times.

Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. The technical side of SF was greatly improved with that one. I was actually challenged in that game for a while. I was relying on common characters to damn much. I picked Makoto and immediately beat the game.

Guilty Gear X. Capcom needs to take a page out of Sammy Studios' book and start using high-res sprites for their games.

Soul Calibur. Mitsurugi. I could rape anyone in three maneuvers.

    The godfather of them all:
Street Fighter II. Me playing as Ken was enough to piss off all of my cousins. Me playing as Ryu made them want to fight me.

Dhalsim. Yeah. Ken was like the best combo character because his Hurricane Kick leaves you standing. Ryu's sends you across the screen giving you time to respond. Hurricane Kick into a Shouryuken or Hadoken is enough to piss off anyone if you lock them in a corner. Same with Paul in Tekken. Start teh match with the Pheonix Smash then chase down your opponent, he'll shoulder rush them if they try to get up. Then you do the Neutron Bomb and a God Hammer Punch and that's the end of a round. If you do certain moves, you can piss off anyone, no matter how cool headed they are.

You can see that I tend to lean more towards skill in my gaming, huh?

actually you sound like you lean more towards pissing people off i remember when xmen vs street fighter came to arcades. i had no idea how to play the game so i chose storm and someone else, and everytime the other dude jumped and landed i'd catch him and toss him. that pretty much went on till i killed both his characters till he just looked at me and said: you think you're funny? i kinda laughed and said: well i don't know how to play so sorry if i don't know how to combo you to the high heavens.
