Psst. Forget about those other ones and just get Planescape: Torment. Good deal, good deal.

PC Action RPG? Torment is a good game, but Diablo 2 is even better.
Console RPG? Chrono Cross PSX, one of the best fantasy RPGs ever.

Not action RPG. Diablo II is the king of action RPGs, indeed, but Planescape: Torment is more of a traditional one. Baldur's Gate, except a couple of million times better. Yeah.

Hard to consider Torment or Baldur Gate games to not be Action RPGs. They are much more "Diablo-Style" than "Console-Style" RPGs, like Septerra Core, for example. Anyway, you seem to be a a big Torment fan, so I wouldn't even try to convince you!

I don't see what you're talking about, really... There's no way you can consider any of the BG-style games (BG, PS:T, Icewind Dale...) hack-and-slash (well, maybe BG, but yeah). And PS:T is at least heavily character and story-driven, while Diablo is phat lewt and skills-driven...

For you, as fan, there must be a considerable difference between them and Diablo. But I don't like too much nor D&D RPGs, nor hack'n'slash ones, and for me the difference between different Action RPGs is not so big. Particularly, I liked Diablo 1 & 2. What I really like, are the classical Console-Style or Tactical RPGs and strategies with RPG elements, like the Disciples and HoMM series. I've played Torment and I liked it, but Torment was "eliminated" from my gaming list by FFVIII...

P.S. For Action RPG fans: there is a good Diablo-Style RPG, released last year, Sacred.

Skinner8, couldn't be done something with this very annoying post-confirmation bug? It's happening for the "n"th time! Clicking on the "Submit Reply" button, instead of the refreshment of the page with the new message displayed, I get the error page: "The page cannot be displayed". In fact, the message is posted, but is not confirmed. It does not count, nor in my number of posts or in the number of the thread reaplies, and is not displayed as newest reply. And it's happening for many people, and ONLY on THIS forum. Never seen anywhere a such problem!

Gleh, Skinner is right. PS:T (which is as good as he says) is much more walk-around-and-talk-to-people-over-and-over than for example Diablo. There not really that much fighting....at all :/

    Many-As-One > All.

I don't know you, you're not my friend.

    I'm full of good ideas..

Yeah, people have been getting this problem... MasJ is a bit short of time at the moment, and will be for some time forward, so CCDART is pretty much your best bet. Pester him about it and he might fix it. That'd be rad.

Sorry, but CCDART, when I posted him a PM, didn't even read it. I think you are much more authorized to talk with him about the problem. There must be a bug in "newreply.php" or in "confirm.php".

Yeah the bug is pretty nasty.

But I simply copy my text wich I typed and post my reply, now if it doesn't count and doesn't show up as the last post I just delete the bug-one and reply again, paste the text you copied before, press submit reply again and it'll work (atleast this trick worked for me some times).

It's very off-topic to discuss it here, but anyway...
First time, I tried to make exactly so. But every time you'll delete a message, the number of posts will decrease (the deletion php file does work very well!). Then, if the new post will not count again, deleting it, the number will decrease again. And so on... you can be "lucky" enough to get a working message by decreasing with 2-3 your number of posts.

    Hm, just happened again!

It's not my fault I don't have PM Popups. I didn't even notice I had any.
And those aren't the problems, I'm sure it's our MySQL server.
    I completed the internetz
