You can PM someone and ask them to post it for you... You can still upload it, too. And, again, it's 25 posts. That's at the very most 25 days you have to wait. And, do you realise you're kind of insulting the community when you're saying what you're saying...?

As GundamGuy wrote, anybody can leech the torrents from the tracker.
Of course, "that's how it", because "the admin is always right", but there are fair and unfair things. It's an unfair thing to be forced to post messages here, when I want to post on the Bittorrent Downloads topic, including my own uploaded torrents. If I would been want only downloads, I wouldn't never been register on the forum.

I'm sorry, I don't want to insult anybody. Only if I have to post here anyway, then at least I would want to make clear if there is a real usefulness of effectiveness of this rule. I think it has much more meaning than posting some "neutral" messages on different threads.
And about the post count bug: please click on "find all posts by aurelianus", and see how will be shown (at least) 30 posts, not 25. "At least", because I don't know if this message will count or not.

P.S. I didn't discuss in any way your right to set up the rules on the forum. I wrote already: The admin is always right.

I'm not here only for the tracker. As I wrote, I could been use the tracker only to get the torrents, and to not care about the forum.
Anybody - and especially a moderator - could see what posts I have on the forum, and if I'm here really only for the tracker or not.

Nah, the admin isn't always right. You're free to argue your point, that's why you're still here, yeah? However, we do feel that this rule at least deserves to be tested out, so it will be in place for at least a little while unless we get some very good arguments (and, no offence intended, but yours aren't) against it.

    1. I'm not against a rule such that. I'm against the kind the rule is applied. I've seen on other forums (vBulletin ones too), the hidden posts system, made in a such way that the hidden part of the messages (especially the links) cannot be seen without having a minimal number of messages posted, but without stopping the members to read and to post on the related topics. If you'll make in a such way, I'll totally agree.
    2. The number one rule of the forums:
#1. The admin is always right.
#2. However, if the admin is not right sometimes, to apply #1.

Why even discuss this post rule thing? It's not going to change the minds of any admin.

About: "how to keep out leechers" with the 25 posts rule.
Just now, meeting the "standard" to be able to access my last posted thread on Bittorrent downloads, I could see how the torrent was downloaded 1 (one) times. Until now, there are 15 (fifteen) complete downloads. Conclusion? The leechers (and not only the leechers) don't care visiting the forum, but only the tracker.

After reading this thread, it makes me look like an ass. The number you needed to reach was 150, but it was just changed. 150 is a lot, 25 is nothing. Heck, I barely post at all and I have more than that.

Anyway, thanks to GundamGuy for bringing the number down, and I apologize to everyone else. Now I'm off to leech some stuff lolololllollrofl.

What you don't seem to understand is that you're the exception to the rule. As I stated earlier, we've had tons of Guest lurking on the board, able to partake of the benefits of being a member without having to give anything back to the community in return. This is the reason we've made the forums private, and imposed a posting requirement to get in on the goodies.

As far as the tracker goes, it's but one aspect of what EP has to offer. By being a productive member, you stand to gain access to content you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Despite what you might think, we're not out of line in expecting people to sign up and contribute in order to get to the good stuff.

At any rate, we're going to do this with or without your approval, so your best bet is to just drop it before our patience wears thin. I don't appriciate your attempts to second guess our policies. They aren't here to be a detriment, and if anyone sees them as such, they don't have to be here.

    1. Before threatening me, please show me where is any infringement of the forum rules in my posts. I thought here is a PUBLIC FORUM, where everyone is free to post his own opinion. Yes, I'm the exception, expressing my different opinion, instead of shutting up my mouth, like many others. I didn't discuss the right of the admins to make the rules, but the rule itself, his opportunity, can be discussed - even skinner8, who calls himself "devious tyrant", wrote that.
    2. Please go HERE to see my first posts on the forum. Those are, in my opinion, useful posts, contributing to the community. Even posting only one such post per week, I would contribute to the community more than posting hundreds of chit-chat posts on Free 4 All. But to post them, I must have access to the topics where are posted the problems, don't you think? Also on the same thread, reading the last posts, you'll see how are REALLY infringed the rules without any moderator intervention.
    3. The guests are annoying you? The admins can easily limit the forum access for registered members only, like on many other forums. Also 90+% of the members are visiting only sometimes the forum, for a few minutes. I don't think they would "eat" the bandwith. More likely the bandwith is consumed by those "living on the forum"...
