It was my brother's birthday today, so thursday I was going to pick up Battlefield 1942 that I could give him as a present. Sadly, I was too busy with homework to go pick it up myself, so I sent my mom. I told her NOT to get the expansions (I even gave her pictures of what it looked like!). So, when my brother opened the present today, he found Battlefield 1942: Road To Rome...

Oh well, guess I'll have to go buy the normal BF1942 as well, it's cheap as hell anyway.

edit: Bought BF: Vietnam because they didn't have the ordinary BF. Going to exchage BF:RTR in something else soon.

Bleh, I should probably post in the negative vibe thread. I preordered Resident Evil 4 and Suikoden IV and they showed up this week. I went into my local EB to pick them up, and they had already given out all the preorder goodies to random people (my EB does that...), so I cancelled my preorders. What the fuck is the point of preordering if you don't get anything. My EB doesn't guarantee to get stuff in, seeing as I preordered Growlanzer a year before it came out and didn't get it at all. My brother saw them selling copies to people that hadn't preordered... God I hate my local EB...

So on topic I ordered RE4, Pure Evil, Suikoden IV and Harvest Moon for the GC (which still has the preorder goodie months later ) from GameStop, and I'm paying $25 for shipping just cause my local EB sucks horse balls :\

The point in pre-ordering something is to make sure you get a copy when it's released. The freebies are just extra incentive, and as such, not necessary. Also, if a store is doing a pre-order campaign with freebies, they usually have them up-front. If not, just keep asking them whenever you find yourself at the store. It doesn't hurt to keep checking.

My little brother got Medal Of Honor: Underground (PSX) and Turok: Evolution for around 10 USD today. Not bad, really.

I preordered MGS3: SE today.

I just got Asphalt: Urban GT for the DS, and I have to say I am impressed. The graphics are fluid and crisp, (and look nothing like the shit screenshots you can get off the net). Sense of speed is good (much like NFSU's shaking screen).

I like it, and I found it used, so I saved cash
