Nothing seemed to work. I think the download is missing files or something, since I'm pretty sure it's corrupted. There's nothing I can do about it. I should have known, though. The site I found and got it from had a LOT of Dreamcast torrents, with some very rare games ( a lot of games I've been looking for for a long time) but not a single torrent link but this one even worked. I knew it was too good to be true -.- I site with so many Dreamcast games that actually worked would have been nice, though

Question Help with a .cdi file

First off I'd just like to say hi to everybody here seeing as this is my first post here.

As for my question, I downloaded 2 Dreamcast games (both .cdi's) from here but I can't get them to play. When open the cdi files in DiscJuggler and as soon as i hit the start button I get a message that says "The structure of the disc you are burning appears to be invalid and could generate erros. Would you like Discjuggler to try to fix this?"

I told DJ to fix, DJ then burned it, game didn't work. So I tried again and told it not to fix it, burned as it, still didn't work, lol.

Next I thing I tried was to mount the .cdi file to virtual drive (I used Daemon Tools) and then I used CloneCD to copy it from there to a CD and that didn't work either.

I've burned 2 other .cdi files yesterday and didn't have a problem. Another thing is both of the files I downloaded were Sonic Adventure 2 and Capcom v. SNK 2 (i think they were uploaded by the same person) if that heps any.

Anybody know what the problem might be, any kind of help greatly appreciated. I think I've made enough coasters for one day, lol. Thanks.

If you were able to mount them then the cdi images shouldn't be the problem. I don't know much about burning DC games though, Zorlon's a bit more knowledgable about DC burning.

oh and welcome to the forums.

Both are from me, and I can verify they work, so let's try to find the burn problem

First, you are right...never let DJ fix anything. It will guarantee a bad burn. I actually don't recommend burning with DJ, but that is because I have *no* experience with it, as my burner will only support DJ's reading processes...

You might try using Alcohol 120% from www.alcohol-soft.com as it can handle a CDI file as well or better than DJ (so I hear). I use the default settings, but some people say change the write method to RAW DAO. Make sure you burn the disc at a slow speed, like 4x or 8x, as the DC likes them better this way.

    Thumbs up

Alright thanks for the quick responses guys, so I'll definately try what you just told me to do and I'll let you know what happens.

    *Edit*
Just tried it with A-120% and it worked like a charm, thank you so much I thought I'd never get it to burn. Again, Thanks for the quick and accurate response. and uh.....Thanks! lol.

while Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6 is a good plug-in it causes the emulator to simply stop according to some people. this may be the one you;re using, try Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.75, Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.75 or Pete's D3D Driver 1.75 the same plug-ins ust slightly different set ups. P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16 is also good.
