Intestine Baalism - The Avenger Full Of Vengeance On God
Have to say that's the coolest intro I've ever heard. Nifty solo near the end

Intestine Baalism are fucking awesome, melodic yet very brutal.
Morbid Angel - Maze of Torment
Woo, the beggining of the song has that heavy tun-tun-tun-ish riff(doesn't sound that heavy with this sound quality), so common in death metal nowadays. Thing is this song/album(Altars of Madness) dates back to 1989.
Although I prefer the faster, deeper sounding, more modern death metal(commonly called gore metal), I feel obliged to pay my respects to oldschool atonal DM like Deicide and Morbid Angel. David Vincent's singing on this song is pretty fast, making him sound like a heroin-shooting lunatic.
DM fans should be very familiar with these bands, so go check 'em out if you've never listened to them before(most young DM fans nowadays haven't).

Morbid Angel - Blasphemy(of the Holy Ghost)
This was the first old MA song that I really liked when I first listened to it. I can't help but sing along to this one each time. Like I said, fast and heavy for its time, it wont grab modern DM'ers like me or Frozen Sky by the balls, but it's awesome.![]()
Indeed. The absence of VI/VII compostions bothered me. They could've fit something better from either of those instead of Matoya's Cave. =\Originally Posted by Howie

Ugh, I feel screwed. The studio recording is *much* better. Not that I was expecting much from Mages live, but this is too much. The guitars are buried under layers of keyboards, drums, and weird effects. The attendance doesn't sound too big either. A dozen teenagers at best. Tsk, how disappointing.
Nirvana - Heart-Shaped Box
Live on From the Muddy Banks of Wishkah. Also on vinyl, cos I rule that much.

Best DM albums of the year must be Behemoth's "Demigod" and Arsis' debut album. Btw, Arsis are currently writing a new album. Oh yeah, and they finally got a permanent rythm guitarist. Something Otis was his name, not sure. Though now they're a full 4-piece band, Malone(guitars/vox) and VanDyne(drums) will still be doing all of the writing unless the others decide to contribute something. Malone sais that the next album will be in the same vein, but somewhat faster. Oh joy.

Final Fantasy VIII - Drifting
Just put my game music on play all and this tune came on just now.
This tune bought back a memory. I don't know what I was feeling at the time, but when I was playing the game and heard this, I could not comprehend how sad I was and how sad this tune is. and yet I am compelled to listen, even to this day, I can't get why this tune makes me that way. lol.
Mew--Comforting Sounds.
Skinner has been on a "Send Simplicity this song" rampage as of late, and the thing is, I love him more and more for it. He has not once sent me a song that I wouldn't listen to.
