Default PS2 Network Adapter with 802.11b Linksys Game Adapter

I have tried countless times to get this router to work. I have checked on the Network Adapter forums and am not getting any good answers. Another guy has my exact same problem, but I'm not going to do what he does.

Even though this guy is using a different brand of stuff, I am getting the same senerios as he is getting. When I try the automatic configuration I get a time out. When I put in all the information manually I get an error saying I can't connect to the DNS server which I entered in by hand by gettin my info from Windows. I was wondering if anyone here knew how to fix this. I have been trying for HOURS!

My PS2-online hookup experience was horrible. I remember when I first got FFXI for the PS2 I thought I would simply connect and start playing. 10 hours later after many failed attempts to connect online, I was ready to take it back to the store. I finally got it working a day later.

I have a different setup disk. I either have Dial-up, Auto, BB with password, or advanced.
