Dark Haven

Dark Haven is a local melo death metal band (Temecula, California), and they are fucking awesome. Their site's are:

They don't have a cd yet, but they have three songs up for dl on the sites, ad they have a bunch more, I've seen them 3 times, and they never fail to amaze me. They have a keyboard also. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Woo, pretty nice. They're using synth effects too, not bad. I really like the song "Nightmare". The low singing reminds me so much of In Flames' Clayman and Colony albums. The synths sound like the old Pandemonium, also reminds me of Soilwork somewhat. That song with the piano in the beggining is awesome too.

It's nothing incredibly original, but hey, they're a new underground band. So yeah, support them and go to their shows, hopefully they'll evolve a bit and find their own style. Damn, I hope to gain some inspiration to come up with my own riffs/songs too.

Funny how his high pitched voice sounds like Cabra's(the guitarist from Avulsed) rasps/backing vocals in Avulsed's songs. I just spent all afternoon listening to Avulsed...

Yeah, Nightmare is my favorite song, they are pretty heavily influenced by In Flames (vocals), and Children of Bodom (guitarist has worn a cob shirt everytime ive seen him, even when we went to a cob show, WHY at a BODOM show? lol jk). They got a new guitarist (Amy), cause their old guitarist never practiced and sohwed up late to shows, plus he didn't look very metal (almost emo looking), Amy is a pretty cool chick, and they have a different keyboarder, don't know why though.
